ClearChat

Commands

/clearchat clear (clears the public chat)
/c (a fast way to clear the public chat)
/cc (clears your own chat)
/clock (locks the chat) v1.2 and up
/clearchat version (the version of the plugin)
/clearchat reload (reload the config)

Permissions

/clearchat clear or /c "clearchat.clear"
/cc "clearchat.cc"
/clock "clearchat.lock" (give a player "clearchat.lock.chat" if you want them to be able to chat when the chat is locked) v1.2 and up
/clearchat reload "chatclear.reload"
"clearchat.ignore" (when a player has this permission he wont see the /c or /clearchat clear message) v1.2 and up

Config

use %Name in the config to show the name from the one who cleared the chat (this can be used in /clearchat clear, /c and /cc)

how your config should look

clear-message: '&1[&bClearChat&1] &bChat has been cleared by&d %Name&b.'

cc: '&1[&bClearChat&1] &3%Name&b You have cleared your own chat'

no-permission: '&4[&cClearChat&4] &cyou dont have permission to this command'

Reload: '&1[&bClearChat&1] &bConfig reloaded.'

lock-msg: '&1[&bClearChat&1] &3the chat is locked!'

lock: '&1[&bClearChat&1] &b%Name&3 has locked the chat!'

unlock: '&1[&bClearChat&1] &b%Name &3has unlocked the chat!'

Dont have the source code on this pc, but im pretty sure you can use it in command blocks or the console.

Sorry for my very late response, I checked it but it doesn't clear the chat when I leave with op on my test server, maybe something with your server?

Hello,

Is it possible you can change it so that it WILL NOT clear the chat every time I (or a staff member) disconnects? It gets annoying, but we love this plugin.

This happens when I boot up my server with ClearChat: [13:56:00 ERROR]: Could not load 'plugins/ClearChat.jar' in folder 'plugins' org.bukkit.plugin.InvalidPluginException: java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: me/Hendrik/ClearChat/main : Unsupported major.minor version 51.0 ^ That. Why? Thanks for the help :)

Please read the description before asking questions, it says under Permissions: "clearchat.ignore (when a player has this permission he wont see the /c or /clearchat clear message) v1.2 and up"

So i guess your op and you have the clearchat.ignore permission thats why it wont clear your chat, but for players without that permission it will clear there chat.

it is possible you need to actually stop and start the server to get the plugin to work.

as you haven't provided any other information. (such as your minecraft version) i will just say, if you are using version 1.8.X it is possible the plugin has broken as it was intended for 1.7.X

If you are using 1.7.X you might want to test again after you stop and start your server, then leave another comment for the author.

One request: Can you make it so locking the chat only locks global chat? I have a factions server and I still want people to be able to speak in faction chat or alliance chat.
