FancyText
FancyText v 1.2.1
Description: If you are like me, you jumped on the minecraft wiki to see the new update. You couldn't believe your eyes when you saw bold, underlined, italicized, and strikethrough text!! But wait.. it said that you cannot do this on vanilla client ;(. So, I took the initiative to bring everyone a plugin working with 1.2.4 to allow you to talk in bold underlined italicized and [S]strikethrough[/S] text! Now, with v 1.2, you can format text on signs, and to make it even beter, you can get players to click links through signs and buttons!!
( How do I do this? It's simple really, you put an & and then the color code you want to use. Color codes stack, so you can have bold green text. To reset all of these styles you do &r. &0 - Black
&1 - Navy Blue
&2 - Dark Green
&3 - Dark Teal
&4 - Dark Red (maroon)
&5 - Purple
&6 - Gold
&7 - Gray
&8 - Dark Gray
&9 - Blue
&a - Green
&b - Aqua
&c - Red
&d - Pink
&e - Yellow
&f - White
&l - Bold
&m - Strikethrough
&n - Underline
&o - Italicize
&r - Reset (this will remove all color bold etc) Note: These colors are the same for signs!
Links?: So what do I mean by send players links? When a player right clicks a sign that you have set, it will send them a message that you have configured. This can be found in the config.yml. All you have to do is enter a simple command, /setsignlink , and then right click the sign you want the player to click, and boom it will setup! All of the signs are found in the config :). The sign can have ANY text on it, and you can remove the sign without removing the link. If you want to setup a different link, you just enter the same command again and right click! Simple! Then the player right clicks the sign, and it sends them the message you have configured NOTE: Use %l for link in the config.yml. The same method goes for using buttons :). PLEASE NOTE: If you want your link to be underlined, you must put a space between the &n and the link!
Commands:
Quote:/setsignlink - This sets the link for the sign that you right click :).
/editsign <line> - Allows you to edit a line on a sign (incase you messup ;)).
/smotd <motd> - Set the MOTD for your server ingame... with COLORS!
Permissions:
Quote:FancyText.use - Allow a person to use FancyText. FancyText.setlink - Allow a person to set a link on a sign.
@Demonlover11
Yes, i have to go into the config to delete my signs. its a real pain in the ass.
For some reason, I cannot use domain names that arent ".com". This causes a problem for me, as my domain name ends with ".info". The link registers and appears in chat when the sign is right-clicked, but when my users and I try to click the link in chat, nothing happens. Please fix this.
I came across something. There is no real way to remove a link to a sign in-game. From what I see even if you remove the sign, put up a new sign, the link is still there. It seems that the sign links are saved to the coordinates, not the sign it's self and along with that it only needs to check if a sign is there to save the coordinates for the link and is only clickable(for the website link)when a sign is present.

Well yes, but also when you want to tell your users "Hey, do & l for bold!" it''ll replace with "Hey, do nulll for bold!" which is kinda confusing...
@JSchweigert
Oh, if u did something like &q then it will say null, because that isn't a color :).
@JSchweigert
Oh, and small bug: whenever you try to use &, it replaces it with null instead.
Love this plugin; easy to set up and use! No longer shall I have to add many different permissions for all the colors and formats! However, I would love for there to be a /delsignlink command if it's possible. I don't like having to go in the config and remove a sign link; seems like the only downside to this plugin.
@RustyDagger
It is B. Unfortunately, I cannot get access to the popup screen, the user still has to click the lin, which IMO isn't a bad thing because of the chat history. Basically, you set the link in the command f/ex if i wanted the user to right click the sign and go to Google.com I would do the command as /setsignlink google.com then in the config it would just setup something with the signs cords and the link text that says google.com, the signs link can be changed at any time.
I am just Wondering if the user still needs to open the chat and click the link in Chat after clicking the sign.
Or dose it do some epic hax and bring the pop up screen up for them?
also I am a little confused at the mention of config.yml for the link.
dose it Work Like A or B
A: Set a Link In Config.yml and have every sign you use the command on goto that link. B: when running the command to set as link you specify the LINK. as part of the command.
