Hi, I have a problem, why the winner of lottery doesn't receive jackpot? Help me pls!

please update to 1.8+ so when the lottery is 'called or whatever' it uses the new on screen thingy messages please

i had to edit your jar file. had a few errors during the start up. it was caused by the "default: none" thing in the plugin.ylm.

Please do a way so we can translate the Plugin messages :)

Any chance of being able to buy tickets with gold/diamond ores? And having the jackpot, the sum of ores?

Thanks for creating and sharing this plugin. I've been thinking about adding some kind of lottery system to my server. However, this seems a bit too basic for me at this point.

Recommendations

Since this is a lottery, it seems like there would be the possibility to buy more than one ticket to better your odds of winning. Would be nice if there was a config option to set the maximum number of tickets that can be purchased. -1 would be unlimited, 1 would be default and anything higher than 1 would be the max tickets that could be purchased.

There should be some kind of "info" command to let players know what is currently going on. Maybe make the default /lottery become the info command and move the "about" info to a version command such as /lottery version

For example, if nobody has bought a ticket, a /lottery info command should show something like this:

Current number of players this round: 0
Price of ticket: $50
Current jackpot: 0
Time left in this round: 50 seconds

If the player bought a ticket and is the only person who has, it should look like this so they know they purchased a ticket:

Current number of players this round: 1
Price of ticket: $50 (already purchased)
Current jackpot: $50
Time left in this round: 34 seconds

If there are 5 participants including the player, it should look like this:

Current number of players this round: 5
Price of ticket: $50 (already purchased)
Current jackpot: $250
Time left in this round: 5 seconds

The only time-related option in the config is "Time" for how long a lotto lasts. There should also be a cooldown time for the amount of time between each lottery to reduce server-side spam or a setting to specify at what time each day the lotto will happen (such as early morning, noon, evening, midnight). So if there is no current lotto running, an info page would look something like this:

Price of ticket: $50 (cannot buy yet)
Next round starts in: 300 seconds

The "famous" part of this plugin makes me think there should be a leaderboard attached. Such as one for biggest winners of all time and biggest winners for the day, week, month. I'd imagine a top 10 list for each would be a good size.

I'd recommend placing all the messages in the config so they can be customized and even translated into other languages by the community. Having the prefix in the config would also be helpful. I try to make all my server-related message us the same color / name prefix to differentiate from player chat.

Bug Report

I'm running CraftBukkit 1.6.2-R1.0 on Java 1.7.0_25 (64-bit) with Windows 7 (64-bit) and Ubuntu Server 12.04.2 LTS (64-bit). The plugins related to this that I use is PermissionsEX 1.20.2, Vault 1.2.25, Essentials Pre2.12.1.6 (and FamoustLottery 1.6)

As the owner, I get the reload permission but also inherit the normal user permissions for info, buy and help.

I set my balance to $100 by typing /eco set HammondsLegacy 100

I type /lottery buy and it says "You have bought a Ticket. Good luck"

I check my balance by typing /bal and it still shows $100

However, after 60 seconds has passed, it says "[Lottery]The winner in this round is HammondsLegacy"

My balance still shows $100

But I am not able to buy another ticket because it says "You have already bought a Ticket."

I continue to wait and it keeps repeating the "winner" line over and over.

I look in the server.log and notice the plugin is blowing up each time it says there is a winner:
