What is Factions?
With this plugin players group up in Factions. You claim land as your own and build your base. Factions is a self serve anti griefing system. Leaders control who can can edit their faction land.
Factions is also about diplomacy and war. You declare wars and forge alliances. You fight over land and manage your monetary expenses.
Install
- Stop your server.
- Put MassiveCore.jar in your plugins folder. Download MassiveCore here on BukkitDev.
- Put Factions.jar in your plugins folder.
- Start your server again.
- Configure (Optional)

- Reworked Commands - /f rank, /f invite, /f flag and /f perm.
- Added Commands - /f setpower, /f status, /f unstuck and /f tt.
- WorldGuard - Readded a simple integration.
- Tab Completion - Tab completion now available for everything!
- Interactive Text - Clickable buttons for list and help commands.
- 1.8 Titles - Optionally used for territory info.
- Animals Flag - New flag similar to the Monsters flag.
- Performance - Further work on improved performance.
- Bug Fixes - Loads of minor bugs were fixed.

I have monsters turned off in safezones as well as the ability for enders to remove/place blocks yet they are still appearing in safezones and still modifying blocks. Any ideas why?

What problem are you actually having, in regards to Register being "outdated"? Details.
Got a problem with register... Factions need it to use economy-plugins, but it is outdated... what should I do? Claiming without spending money is horrible :(

If you don't mind, post a ticket with the request. I can't promise that Olof or I will ever get to it, as it would require adding in a function to check nearby claims for ownership and such, but it might happen at some point.
Can I make a feature request? We have a problem where people just feel compelled to claim all the land around safezones. This makes it very bothersome for people trying to leave the spawn because of all the buildings right on the border of it.
Anyways, maybe you could add an option that prevents people from claiming land a configurable distance (perhaps chunks) from a safezone. And if they try to claim land in this area, a message could be printed saying "You can't claim land this close to a safezone. Please move farther out."
This would really make my life easier ^.^

Np I did however find an issue with faction banks as well. Pressing /f money gives command listings however none of the listings give any results. Using iConomy5 I dont see any errors in the console either.
Edit: after a restart this started working, it was rather odd. Eh, as long as it works.

Thanks for the report, I'll check into it.
The /unclaimall and /declaimall commands do not work. No errors, and doesnt unclaim faction land. No permission issues either.

ok so I guess I may want to use bukkit permission to hold back creating factions, just a question do I need to set permissions for every plugin then, or can I have just this one, i just want two groups default and admins.
so if I can do it for just this one can I get an example permission (my yml currently empty -_-)

Not currently possible, they need to be declared as enemy.
EDIT: oh, I think I misunderstood you... you mean friendly fire within a faction, but not by using a War Zone, just something that is allowed everywhere? Not currently possible or planned.

how do i turn on friendly fire in factions with out being in war
I went with a very simple solution in the end, I just made it one trillion dollars to create a faction, so that should keep it to the one faction I wanted on the server heh

1. Setting "econClaimAdditionalMultiplier" to 0 should work.
2. You can't hurt members of neutral factions in their own territory. You have to declare them as an enemy.

You can prevent regular players from being able to create new factions, but it will require using permissions. You don't necessarily need a plugin, you can use Bukkit's provided permissions.yml in the root server folder.
quick question, can I limit the amount of factions made or make it where factions can only be made by admins.........and the kicker NO PERMISSIONS.....those things are satanic!
how do i enable pvp inside faction Territory on claimed land even on home block i cant seem to get it any help would be greatly appreciated thanks guys :D

Two quick things.
1.) Is it possible to make the initial claim cost money but no claims after?
2.) PvP seems to be disabled in all regularly claimed land, though my pvp say's it's enabled. Here is my config.

Love your plugin keep up the good work. It would be great if a faction leader could set due's or rent for owned plots or something. It can be hard trying to collect for more land and such when people are offline.
I am having trouble assigning a cost to creating a faction. I use Iconomy 6, I have register.jar in my plugins folder, I also use PermissionsBukkit. I set the Iconomy and Register setting in the conf.json file to true. I changed the cost to create a faction to 1000.0, and have set all of the other values to zero.zero . I do not get charged anything to create a faction still, so I am wondering if it's something on my end, or if I could see an example conf file with the economy settings set to true. All feedback is greatly appreciated. Great plugin, thanks for taking the time to create a great experience.

"powerPlayerMax", "powerPlayerMin", "powerPerMinute", "powerPerDeath", "powerOfflineLossPerDay"... as I indicated, you can change what 1 power is worth. no need to set arbitrary claim values for 1 power.
