EchoPet
Important information on this project in light of recent events.
Quote from DSH105:The forums have now been enabled and can be accessed via the navigation bar. More importantly, I'm interested in your input towards the new pet attacking AI to be implemented in EchoPet v3.
If EchoPet is not loading on your Spigot 1.8 build and your server is outputting "Skipping loading of EchoPet as it does not work with Spigot 1.8 builds!", please try running a later Spigot patch. I can't do anything about older Spigot releases blacklisting the plugin (preventing it from loading).
The future of this plugin is still being determined.
Development builds of this project can be acquired at the provided continuous integration server. These builds have not been approved by the BukkitDev staff. Use them at your own risk.
EchoPet is a simple Donator Perk plugin designed to add Pets that follow players around on their adventures throughout Minecraft. All Pets are custom entities spawned and controlled by the plugin.
Great for donator perks!
Pets are greatly customisable, through the extensive Command Base and PetMenu
A Custom AI makes all Pets focused on specific goals, handled closely by the core of the Plugin
All mobs can be Pets, even human entities
All events fired by the plugin are accessible through the EchoPet Developer API
The API also makes it possible to add many new and interesting features to the limit of creativity
Support for MySQL databases |
Note: The Developer API is only available in v2.0.6 and after
All information can be found on the official EchoPet Wiki, which can be accessed using the button above
EchoPet comes with an auto-updater to save you, as a server owner, from continually checking this page for new files. It simply connects to dev.bukkit.org and compares the versions of available files. If you do not wish for EchoPet to perform this check, navigate to the Configuration File (config.yml) in the EchoPet directory of your plugins folder and change "checkForUpdates" and "autoUpdate" to "false". The first value disables the version comparison altogether and the second updates the plugin automatically if new files are detected.
Metrics is used to collect plugin statistics. Only data such as plugin version and players online is collected. If you do not wish for this data to be collected, disable it in the 'Plugin Metrics' folder of your 'plugins' directory.
Sounds cool, will try it out.
@DSH105
I see nothing mentioning portals regarding pets. And my gates are without errors.
Do you want me to look for something specific in a portal config for a location saying 5 blocks above ground? I wont find that there.
@fungreenfox
Would this have something to do with Nether Portals by any chance? =P
@deleted_10267026
It has been uploaded.
@DSH105
Ok :)
@deleted_10267026
Still trying to stop Creepers from exploding. Once that's done, then yes, it will be uploaded.
EDIT: And it's not just cancelling the explosion. I'm after stopping the creeper animation completely.
@DSH105
Uploaded yet? Sorry cant wait!
@DSH105
Thanks, your plugins are great :)
@deleted_10267026
It has been implemented into the alread existing auto-save feature. When a player logs out, it automagically gets their pet, it's mount (if it has one) and its name with colour codes and saves them to the file :)
@DSH105
Swwweeeeet :) So itll auto do it, sort of like in the new update? when you do /pet name, itll set it automagiclly?
@deleted_10267026
It's in 1.5, which is currently in Beta. I'll be uploading it this afternoon once I have a few more bugs fixed.
@DSH105
How do i set it?
@deleted_10267026
Proves my point <3
It's already been done.
Add so it auto-saves the names please :) Thanks

Allright, some is fair enough. But i have mentioned this many times during a month without proper response. And, i have said that i have tried uninstalling and still having the error from echopet, i also hate repeating myself.
@fungreenfox
Is it possible for me to do something if I cannot replicate this error and am not enitrely sure as to what is causing it? Just because a new file is not uploaded immediately after you have reported an error doesn't mean that you can continue to push the issue, especially with blasphemy. What you see on this page does not reflect completely on the research, time and effort put into this project. I am not repeating myself again; I am working to resolve this issue as fast as I can. If it is too big of an issue, then uninstall the plugin and wait until it is fixed. And realistically, I am not even sure if this is completely an EchoPet originated issue. I have a feeling it's something that has changed in Entity Tracking in one of the recent Minecraft updates and just requires small tweaking of the pet following system. As said below, it's happened without the plugin actually being installed.
I apologise for my rant, but honestly, the day I lose patience for the public will be the day I stop developing public plugins...
For christ sake, do something! It is spamming my console with 2 lines a second about the same pet stored and found in another location.
i have ticked the console spamming. But after removing the plugin, spamming goes on.
How to remove those entities??
@GuildMasterLelo
I have that spammed once in a while, it's not crashing my server.
Heck I even had one of them online 5 days no restart without issues. :D
Great plugin indeed!
@GuildMasterLelo
i got this error even without using echopet plugin so I say just ignore it unless is spamming your console
