EasyPermissionsEx
EasyPermissionsEx
This plugin was made to help users use PermissionsEx commands easily without /pex and remembering what to type. It makes commands more similar to GroupManager to make it easier for those who are planning to/have already switched from GroupManager to PEx. (Which is a very good idea in my opinion)
Commands
- /easypex - Displays a list of commands and information about the plugin
- /easypermissionsex - Displays a list of commands and information about the plugin
- /upromote <username> <group> [<oldgroup>] - Promote a player to <group>. The <oldgroup> is optional. What it does is removes a player from <oldgroup> then promotes it to the <group>
- /udemote <username> <group> [<newgroup>] - Demote a player from <group>. The <newgroup> is optional. What it does is removes a player from <group> then moves the player to the <newgroup>
- /uaddp <username> <permisison> - Add a permission node to a player
- /udelp <username> <permisison> - Remove a permission node from a player
- /uprefix <username> <prefix> - Change a player's prefix
- /gaddp <group> <permission> - Add a permission node to a group
- /gdelp <group> <permission> - Remove a permission node from a group
- /gprefix <group> <prefix> - Change a group's prefix
- /uaddtimedp <username> <permisison> <seconds> - Add a permission node to a player for a specific amount of time
- /udeltimedp <username> <permisison> <seconds> - Remove a permission node from a user for a specific amount of time
- /gaddtimedp <group> <permission> <seconds> - Add a permission node to a group for a specific amount of time
- /gdeltimedp <group> <permission> <seconds> - Remove a permission node from a group for a specific amount of time
- /creategroup <group> [<parent>] - Create a new group. Adding a parent is optional and is not needed.
- /deletegroup <group> - Delete a group.
Information
There are no permission nodes as there is no need because basically what this plugin does is forces the user to perform the /pex version of the command using & replacing the variables inputted.
Note: You WILL need PermissionsEx for this plugin to work.
Note: You WILL need PermissionsEx permissions to use the commands.
Thank you
I hope you guys like this plugin :) I made this for private uses but I decided to put it up for any of you guys who want to use PermissionsEx easier.

If you don't know what parent means, don't worry, just use /creategroup <group> Parent is the group that the new group would inherit.
@ryry208
1. /creategroup Owner [myusername] won't work lol, you can only create a group and have one parent. It's /creategroup Owner
2. That means you don't have permission to create groups in the first place, I said on this main page that there are no permission nodes so it can't be this problem. It's because you don't have the permission node: permissions.* Give yourself it using the console, type /uaddp <username> permissions.*
When I say /creategroup Owner [My username] It says "Sorry, you don't have enough permissions."
What do you mean when Parent when you try to create a group
It Doesnt work. I typed /creategroup and it says need more arguments so i type /creategroup Owner and it says unknown command, type "help for help
@TheReverend403 I just saw that message you posted very late. If you are talking to me, if you had taken more than 2 seconds to read the end properly, you'll see I said "separate permissions". In GroupManager globalgroups exists to MIRROR group files + user files per world and so you cannot change nodes for different worlds whereas PermissionsEx can mirror and manage different world permissions. So please read better before commenting.
"Due to the restraints of DBO, we are unable to offer our old download links, including the link for GroupManager." Also, the last update for GroupManager was 10/02/13.
@KingFaris10
Well, if you had taken more than 5 seconds to read the documentation for GM, you would know that the globalgroups file exists for exactly this purpose.
Also, GM is still being updated. It is just not on DBO.
@KingFaris10
Quitting the GroupManager project
u wot.
It's maintained by both ElgarL and Essentials team, both have access to the git, GM isn't dying any time soon? We haven't made any announcement about that publicly or privatly so why spread lies? :/
ernestas20111 is right, GM is simpler and PEX is way too broken, here, have a list of issues: http://bit.ly/QBTtcQ
@KingFaris10
uh... got a source on that information? im pretty sure it's still being updated.
@Freelix2000 If it is ignoring PermissionsEx, that means it's the actual server and what you did to set up the plugins, etc.
My server is ignoring this and PermissionsEx. :(
@ernestas20111
But, that plugin is out of date
@ernestas20111 That is true, except, apparently they are quitting the GroupManager project so it will no longer be updating or something. Also, in PermissionsEx, you can manage world permissions + all worlds where as GroupManager is either all worlds permissions together OR separate permissions for all worlds. This is very stupid.
With permissionsEx you just waste your time.
Download essentials group manager and
you will create permissions much faster
I think this would be helpful to kiddos still learning PEX, Or just making everyone lazier, either one :)
Still, great plugin man! ;P
@eamon12
It's not to do with this plugin. It's PermissionsEx nodes.
@eamon12
Yes it does work, and that's because you don't have permissions.x perms. To get all permissions (if you're the server owner) give yourself permissions.*
Lol, When ever I try to do something it says "Sorry, you don't have enough permissions"
Does this really work?
