Supported versions:
- Dynmap v1.7.1 or later
- Towny Advanced 0.83.0.0 or later
Dynmap-Towny provides a simple way to add visibility of Towny towns and nations on Dynmap's maps. The plugin depends on the presence of both Dynmap and Towny Advanced, and interacts directly with the Towny API. Updates to zones are automatically processed (on a settable period - default is once per 5 minutes (300 seconds)). By default, the plugin will be active after simply installing it (by unzipping the distribution into the plugins/ directory and restarting the server).
Towns of any shape are supported, and a proper outline border is computed and displayed that will encompass all the contiguous blocks of a given town (limitation - 'holes' in the middle of a town may still be shaded to look like part of the town). Outposts, including outposts on other worlds, are supported. Clicking on the town will display a popup with a configurable set of data on the town.
Dynmap-Towny will also show configurable icons for the home block of each town, including distinctive icons when the town is a capital of its country.
Display style, including the color and opacity of the outlines and fill, as well as icons used for home markers, can be tailored. This can be done at the global default level, the per-nation level, or the per town level. The Y coordinate (altitude) of the town outlines can also be set (default is 64 - standard sea level) - typically this would be done using 'custstyle', to set the value for each town needing to be adjusted individually.
Visibility of towns can be controlled via the 'visibleregions' and 'hiddenregions' settings. Besides listing the names of the towns to be made visible or hidden, entries with the format 'world:<worldname>' can be used to make all towns on a given world visible or hidden.
Also, the display of the town outlines can be restricted to a minimum zoom-in level, via the 'minzoom' setting. When non-zero, this setting causes the town outlines to only be displayed at or beyond the given zoom-in level.
Note: If you are currently using the region component for Towny in Dynmap, you should disable that support while installing Dynmap-Towny.
Configuration:
After the first load, there will be a config.yml file in the plugins/Dynmap-Towny directory. Details of the default configuration, and all the provided settings, can be found here

1.12.2? Is anybody willing to do that simple task for me?
Somethings wrong with the font, it's in Greek
Is anybody going to take on the simple task of updating this to 1.12.2?
Needs fixing. pls update
Hi, Any chance you can have this set up to ignore worlds. My server is very multi-world oriented and I would like this feature to be available only on 2 worlds.
Thanks Morlanius
Thanks for the update! :)
@NorbiPeti
Dude you're awesome.
I posted a fix for 1.9 at GitHub, and I messaged the author to merge it. :P
Edit: Download: https://github.com/NorbiPeti/Dynmap-Towny/releases/tag/0.60-patched
We need a 1.9 version of this so it does not flood the console!
Plugin work in 1.9 but is flooding console of error.
Hi guys,
Great plugin, really adds to my server especially with the web chat component. Just have a couple of questions/suggestions for you.
My server has a "spawn" town with a few outposts, which house NPCs and with an NPC mayor. I have set this town as the one visible (in visbileregions) which makes my own town invisible. Ideally I'd like residents to have visibility of just their own town (or allied towns in their Nation) but not neutral/enemy towns. Can this be done?
Also, with the outposts being at various Y heights, could the custstyle component be tweaked to allow different Ys for each outpost rather than the same as the town's?
Both of these ideas would be nice but certainly not essential; as I said, great plugin!
Cheers,
Jon
Plugin still works great for me :)
Can you update the plugin to be compatible with the latest version of DynMap?
@hutt132
I'm still not seeing a fix for this I wonder if the dev just stoped this plugin.
This plugin forces chat to be on even when I have it turned off in regular dynmap.
could you add a /dynmaptowny update command? So the map is instantly updated, instead of waiting for the update time
Is D-Towny 0.50 stable for Dynmap 1.9.1?
Hello, This works great and all, but when installed. Chat from and to dynmap does not work anymore. If I uninstall dynmap-towny but leave towny chat and dynmap. It works the way it is supposed to.
I also noticed in my server terminal, it says that it disables chat to web since it detects townychat. but why? and can you add a config file to disable it from checking for townychat? it works great. But this has been bothering me for a while now!
In towns, the markers are not displayed correctly. These are always slightly apart from the set area. (claim)
I use spigot 1.6.4. With CraftBukkit 1.6.4 it is the same.
I've Got A Question... I Need To Run This But I Don't Know How Can You Help Me?
@frol1
I believe you can look at region market i am using it, however you need to select areas with wand and what not, and im not 100% sure if you can sell land yet : /
hey guys,
Does anyone know if there is away to make plots that are for sale show on the dynamp? or even if there is away to make plots show up at all? I know you can make shop plots show, but is there away?
