DreamLand
Why hide in a hut all night when you can Dream!
Features:
- You are sent to the dream world when you sleep.
- While you are there:
- You are indestructible
- You can fly using a feather (when used in conjunction with SmoothFlight)
- You can set the spawn location
- You will return to your bed when you fall off an island to the bottom of the map
- You might find yourself in a nightmare!
Dependancies:
Since Notch decided to remove the Skylands from minecraft, this plugin now requires SkylandsPlus. With this change, the ability to choose a different chunk generator for the dreamland or nightmare is available.
I have been working on a flight plugin in parallel with dreamland and they contained similar code. For the 4.0 release and on, DreamLand now requires SmoothFlight

Permissions:
- dreamland.goto : allows users to sleep and go to skylands
- dreamland.nowakeup: allows user to stay in a dream during the day
Commands:
- /wakeup : leave the dream you are in
- /setdreamspawn

Posted Jun 24, 2012Great Plugin but i also use Multiverse Inventories, is there a way to turn off dreamland inventory management, if not we really need this option. (issue things get taken, removed and transported between worlds depending on settings, i have fond no way to achieve desired behaviour with dreamland inventory management turned on)

The biggest difference is flight. I have been developing a SmoothFlight plugin separate from dreamland for a while now. Most of the code is the same, so I decided to purge that code from Dreamland and add a soft dependency on SmoothFlight. If you install the SmoothFlight plugin, it should work exactly the same.
Also in this release, I figured out how to use permissions an permissionsEx properly!
Expect small releases in the next month or so, you have had some great ideas that I would like to get to soon.

Posted Jun 21, 2012Whenever I sleep it spawns me into dreamland. If I go to sleep and instantly wake up again it shouldn't put me into dreamland.

Posted Jun 17, 2012Is there a possibility to let multiverse manage the world gen and settings, so this plugin only provides the teleport and flying? Multiverse can handle inventory switching too. An option to automatically teleport the player in the normal world when he is down to one heart would be nice to :-)
and so you still spawn at your last bed in the normal world then?
Edit:
Ok you will be teleported if you would die and will spawn at your last bed. But if you wake up undergound you will be ported above the ground instead beside your bed...
Looks buggy with multiverse too (at least how i configured it, maybe someone knows how). And also i dont know how flying works...

When i go to sleep i am in a dream but its like a normal generated world.Not even in the sky!
When it's a nightmare i fall into the nether into the lava and die...
Please help!! i really want it to work!

Posted Jun 14, 2012I need some help badly, PEX isint responding to the perms and all the ranks can go over to dreamland wich is bugging me :( Its supposed to be a donor only thing but everyone seems to be able to go there :(

This is what I orginally tried before I wrote. I also double checked this just now too. You do keep the inventory you had in the main world when you go to the dream world, but anything you get in the dream world is removed when you go back to the main world. I'm not sure if its just my server, but you might want to look into that. Thanks for your speedy response by the way! Doomedj2008

I like your timeout idea.
The config is not too clear, I might change it a bit next release. Set persistInventory and clearInitialInventory to false for the dream world. Try that. I tested it on my temp server and it seemed to work.

Posted Jun 7, 2012Hey, for my server, I have a void world generator, so other than player placed blocks, you can't get any building materials. For my server, I'm gettig a dream plugin, but one feature I would like you to add, (at least as an option) is allow you to share inventories. So players can get items from the dreamworld, and use them in the regular world (void). Also, a good feature for your plugin would be to automatically teleport you back after a cirtain ammount of time! I hope you can add those features, please message me if you do! Thanks!
