DisguiseCraft
Tired of backwards EnderDragons? Upward looking chickens? Or some of the other bugs in MobDisguise? Ready to try something brand new? With DisguiseCraft we are taking a brand new approach on mob/player disguises by taking advantage of the advanced features released in the 1.1-R4 build of CraftBukkit!
Features:
- Disguise as any mob
- This includes: babies, colored sheep, sized slimes/magmacubes, tamed/aggressive wolves with colored collars, tabby/tuxedo/siamese cats, saddled pigs, villager occupations, and charged creepers
- Also unnatural slime/magmacube sizes: bigger, massive, godzilla
- You can also set the disguise on fire and hold blocks as an Enderman
- This includes: babies, colored sheep, sized slimes/magmacubes, tamed/aggressive wolves with colored collars, tabby/tuxedo/siamese cats, saddled pigs, villager occupations, and charged creepers
- Disguise as any player, including their skin, cape, and in-chat name
- The item you are holding and arm swings are shown
- Disguise as certain objects
- This includes the vehicles: boat, minecart, poweredminecart, storageminecart
- And the blocks: endercrystal, fallingblock (different materials)
- No Spout necessary! Disguised players' names are not shown in SpoutCraft (This is because the disguised player's packets are not sent to other clients)
- No Backwards EnderDragon! No messed up chicken head!
- Permissions support (All popular permissions systems)
- Multi-world permissions are supported
- Granular player-disguise nodes
- The player list doesn't show players who are disguised in your world
- The ability to see through disguises is given with a permission node (disguisecraft.seer)
- Disguises can fool mobs too! (disguisecraft.notarget & disguisecraft.notarget.strict)
- Item-pickup can be disabled while wearing a disguise
- You can disguise or undisguise other players
- You can keep your disguise even after log out (Activate in the config)

- Developer API to allow for plugin integration

How to negate the disguisecraft.seer node with PermissionsEx
Or, how to make it so that you don't see the nametag of the person inside of the disguise!
- Open up your permissions.yml file
- Add the permission node "-disguisecraft.seer" to the group that is seeing the double disguises!
- Do /pex reload ingame.
Example pex file:
admin: options: rank: '1' permissions: - -disguisecraft.seer - '*'

- Be sure to read our Frequently Asked Questions section.
- Report errors using the ticket system and be sure that you are using this plugin with the CraftBukkit build that it supports. Any error reported in the comment area may be deleted and ignored. Also make sure to check your tickets often and report in when a build or release has fixed the issue.
- We will only release for stable CraftBukkit builds. Do not report errors when using our plugin with a build it was not listed to support. Because we need to recompile for each specific build, you will only ever see versions for CraftBukkit Dev builds in our jenkins.
@andrewkm
That is quite interesting, do you have the disguisecraft.seer permission, as that could explain it.
Ok heres my attempt at better explaining: http://i.imgur.com/8VT4s.png
That user has no vanish permissions or anything. To others he seems like just a golem. To me and users WITH vanish permissions, we see double.... lol
Logging out/back in does not fix Re-installing minecraft with no mods - fresh install does not fix (Not client side)
-Some super weirdness going on... was not happening on earlier builds of disguisecraft.
@Devil_Boy
Currently on 1.1 There are various times I see a disguised user as a chicken, and as himself. Meaning i see the chicken and his skin... right beside it, like two seperate things moving around together.
Only users with vanish permissions have this problem (Meaning can see these people) I have no idea what exactly is causing it.
I hope im making sense. Say a user is disguised as a cow (and they have no vanish perms or anything) - I can still see the cow and their skin. The only users who can see this visual problem are those with vanish permissions.
Which makes it that much wierder, shouldnt this only happen to users who can vanish and unvanish, perhaps somehow glitching them. I dont understand why users with no vanish capabilities appear to be glitched like this.
Oh man i just wrote a very confusing run on paragraph probably. Anyways - hopefully you know what I mean. (Im using vanishnopacket by the way) - No idea if thats what is causing the issue.
Thanks to SharkTankPure's testing, version 1.2 has been released. When you're disguised as a player, it should allow others to see when you change item-in-hand and arm swings.
@SharkTankPure
BTW, I think it would help if, you dropped by irc://irc.mibbit.com/pinoygamers every now and then. Just in case I need a tester ;)
@Devil_Boy
Ok thanks for clearing things up. I really appreciate the time and effort put into that post, and the plugin.
@SharkTankPure
Don't worry, I understand you and your concern for your server (you've expressed it with numerous comments). It's just that development has in-fact slowed due to the lack of motivation. There never really was a reason for us to keep working on this plugin. We could easily stop without caring, because it was not made for profit, advertizement, or experience.
What many do not know, is the reason why this project was created (I'll mention it here just in case people are interested). I'm not sure if you noticed, but I have been and still do work as Desmin88's Ticket Manager for MobDisguise. Due to the large number of requests, I began modifying his code and submitting pull requests. We eventually came to a point where our differing development philosophies prevented forward momentum and my code was not accepted. He tried to convince me that only features were to be added first and optimization was never to be thought of until all features were added. As a result of his philosophy, MobDisguise's code is highly inefficient. DisguiseCraft proves that with proper planning, optimization can be integrated into a program, while features are added. We built the system with a single disguise-database and in a way that allowed us to fix the EnderDragon while disrupting hack clients. It may not be obvious to you guys, but this was in fact a success.
Our team is easily capable of keeping the plugin up-to-date with Bukkit because we've got tons of experience. (I still feel bad for those MobDisguise users who keep begging for an update to 1.2.3) Adding new features, on the other hand, requires planning and collaboration. This forces us to use our resource of "time", which we definitely do not have much of, knowing that there is no incentive. (Disguise damage [PVP] is more considered a feature than a fix)
@Devil_Boy
Hey Devil Boy, I didn't say that I wanted the update ASAP and a drop everything and do update. Im just making sure you know :D. I didnt mean to offend you. Anyways, Great Plugin :)
@mrchasez
I think there might be a bit after that log. Please open up a support ticket because it sounds like a critical bug. Though, I have no idea why it mentions Packet10Flying. Could it be possible that a user is lagging or using a non-vanilla client?
@chrisk123999
It's a side-effect inherent to our disguise method. We're still looking into it.
@SharkTankPure
Please understand that your server are in no way essential to us. We are presenting this plugin to you free of charge and will continue working at our set pace according to our planning. Just know that it will be worked out and that patience will be your friend until then.
@GarretSidzaka
If you think we "gave the user god mode," you're wrong and are better off using some other plugin or purchasing one yourself. We have complete apathy for server owners who cannot read through reports and assume developers are intentionally working to cripple server dynamics. I cannot stop you from using our plugin once all is fixed, but I will say that you make us highly regret trying to help the Bukkit Community.
WHY the hell do you give the disguise user god mode?
i had to pull this plugin *facepalm*
Yeh i think disguise invincibility should be on the HIGHEST priority list along with the bridge for pvp control. Its essential for alot of servers taht offer mob disguise as a perk.
People who are disguised are unable to be killed, anyway to turn that off?
Every so often, It gives off this error: http://pastie.org/3560723
It then does it for pretty much ever, and crashes us after a while.
Once it starts the server is pretty much off, no one can connect anyone in game can't do anything, The plugin works and everything seems go good for a while, not sure what triggers it.
@LillePuh
They actually showed someone disguised as Notch in the video...
It would be fun if you could make it possible to disguise to notch ^^
@Rowtag87
This is an already planned feature. ;)
Is it possible to also add Vanish? Invisible player :) would be awesome.
@Tux2
Hehe... There's documentation, it's just not released yet. The API has never been tested. That was supposed to be done with CommandPoints-MobDisguiseBridge. *looks at Tux*
@zealen2
This does already have an API, it's just not documented yet. *looks at Devil_Boy*
umm.. will this have the api that mobdisguise has??? cause I need a mob changing plugin for my plugin to hook into so factions can have a set mob that they are. thanx
