Disable Item Despawn
Description
A super lightweight plugin which prevents any item from despawning across all worlds.
Items will not despawn for any reason, whether they're dropped by players or on death.
Installation
- Stop the server
- Place .jar file in the servers/plugins folder
- Restart the server

Posted Dec 12, 2013Try getting NoLagg plugin, you can use a command to wipe all ground items whenever you think it's necessary.

Posted Oct 20, 2013Oh okay see I was meaning by if you have your server on for say 2 days with a decent amount of players that items would build up from people just dropping them everywhere and and dying, but then the chunks would have to be loaded to cause any damage..

I stress tested my server with the plugin, and it's very unlikely for this to be the case. There would be minimal graphical load due to the short visibility limit on items (20 blocks), and load on the server is minimal as well.
Additionally, in the very unlikely event you build up several million items dropped on the server and it actually becomes a problem, simply disabling the plugin for a short while and letting things clean up would fix it easily.
