What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Destroying the death-chest while leaving the sign.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
If you destroy a death-chest with a sign still attached to it the sign changes into a drop instead of disappearing.
However if you mine the sign first it does disappear as expected.
