Notes
As this is a Lockette-type plugin, also similar to Alerter or BlockLock, things may seem similar. This plugin was originally created as a continuation of Lockette by Acru to add trapdoor support and other recent developments. Portions of this project were reverse engineered from Lockette and the original idea for a sign-based locking system still belongs with Acru. Credit where credit is due. As this only supports super permissions, if you need a plugin that is more backwards compatible with older configurations, you may want to look at Lockette.
If you have another plugin such as Cenotaph or ChestShop3 that you have integrated with Lockette and would rather use Deadbolt instead, I have created a LocketteSimulator that will allow you to use Deadbolt.
Check GitHub for the most recent files, there is a slight delay in getting files posted here authorized by the staff.
Usage
Place a sign next to the item you want to protect and type in the following
- Line 1: [Private]
- Line 2: Your name will be automatically filled, users with "deadbolt.admin.create" can specify someone else.
- Lines 3 and 4: You have a couple options for these lines
- Another player's name
- Unrestricted access via [Everyone] while preventing breaking
- Create an automatic timed door using [Timer:1] through [Timer:9]
Not enough room for all the names you need? Make another sign with the [More Users] on line 1
For ease of use in maintaining your signs without having to break them:
- Right click the sign to select it.
- Use "/deadbolt <line number> <text>" to directly modify that line.
When placing signs, valid locations are to the NORTH, SOUTH, EAST, and WEST of the target block.
Other valid blocks include:
- Doors: The blocks above and below.
- Trapdoors: The block that it is attached to (hinge-block) and directly above/below the trapdoor itself.
- Fence gates: Any block horizontally adjacent to the gate itself.
Use your imagination and hide those unsightly signs under walls.
Also, color is now available! Just add "deadbolt.user.color" and use &1-9,a-f in your sign.

The following issues are known:
- Double timer doors are broken
- Force coloring of Signs placed directly onto walls is broken.
- Vertical trapdoor chaining has been removed because it was only half implemented

I have a pretty serious bug for you (a few of my users actualyl encountered, before i got this account and tried it for myself). I also reported it to the issue tracker, but i wanted to bring it to your attention here as well.
Users can't access their own chests if they have a long name. aka Long user names on protection signs are truncated upon chunk reload.
Steps to reproduce: 1. Have a long name (in my case WWWWWWWWWWWWWWWM (15xW+1xM -> 16 chars in total) 2. Protect a chest 3. Move away from the chest, and allow the chunk to unload (i am certain this occurs when the chunk unloads, the name is truncated) 4. Return and attempt to interract with the chest
The following occurs: The user will get an "Access Denied" error and won't be able to interract with his own chests

How can you make so that "deadbolt.user.* " is not the default node?
Also, what is the /db fix or /db fixall really do? <-- I'm just confuse.
Edit: I updated to v2.1 and all the chest protection was disabled.
The sign protection stopped working, could you help me out here plz.

EDIT: My players cant make shops above one another now, or in the middle. The raidus is too big now i guess.
How do i remove this plugins abilitys with ChestShop This is horrible.
My players cant make shops unless its in a single file line. How do i fix this
I have an issue My people can't make chestshops They could with lockette we just switched over
1: They cant make a chest shop at all most the time, says no Permission now 2: They cant lock a chest and make one.

im confused does this work with permissionsex...... i mean i put up bukkit with just worldedit and worldguard and when i try to edit a sign it says i have to select the sign first....even with pex it does the same thing.... its like i cant select the sign with right click

Yes, i tried with survival mode, and left click works (open the gate, but no sound), but right click is the same it don't work.
