CustomItemsAPI
CustomItemsAPI adds a few new cool items to Minecraft, they are all based on existing items and are identified by their name.
The plugin was created as an API to add and manage customized items easily, but for now the API is private. I intend to release/document the API in the future.
This plugin is no longer updated here!
CustomItemsAPI was merged into NBTEditor 2.0.
You should go over to the NBTEditor page and start by reading: information on NBTEditor 2.0.
CustomItemsAPI is open-source under GPLv3.

Where are recipes ? ^^
@goncalomb
Ok, i've found it :D
@goncalomb
I have the code of your plugin, but i don't know to use. Please do release the API and implement the Function
This function must be also available for impossible Enchantments like "Knockback" on a Axe But only when it's possible :)
@Deanfvjr
I don't really know, when I have time to clean up the code and document it. Also I won't release it before I do a big makeover on my website (it can take a while).
When will you release the api?
@shilofax
«Is it possible to create an edited item with NBTEditor and then give the person that saved item via this plugin?»
No. This plugin is not intended to do that, this plugin makes it easy to create custom items that do stuff beyond what the NBT tags can do, like bows that shoot cows instead of arrows. (this is done using java code and the API from this plugin, the API is not yet public/documented) adding new items requires java code.
You can always use droppers to give NBT edited items to players.
«Is it also possible to make the edited item not stack with the item that it was originally edited from, and remove the function if any?»
I'm not sure if a fully understand the question. Anyway, any renamed/edited item will not stack with the clean version. E.g: a renamed stick will not stack with a clean one.
Is it possible to create an edited item with NBTEditor and then give the person that saved item via this plugin? Is it also possible to make the edited item not stack with the item that it was originally edited from, and remove the function if any?
If not, those would be AMAZING features. (If even possible through bukkit)
Just uploaded a new version (now live).
It add more permissions and configs, and fixes language problems in Linux.
From now on the plugin is called CustomItemsAPI, you must remove the old jar (CustomItems.jar) from your plugins folder.
The new name affects permissions and the config folder location.
Full changelog here updated How to use page to reflect the new permissions and Configuration page.
(If you´re going to use NBTEditor v0.0.4, also new version, YOU NEED TO UPDATE)
Yes they will have some sort of a Symbol similar to letter A in front of each word
@EpicTrance
That seams to be a error form multiverse-inventories...
Does multiverse-inventories break written books (other than the book of souls) or other renamed items?!
The Book of Souls and the CustomItemsAPI items are all identified by their name, if for some reason the name is changed/cleared, the item will not work.
@bioinfection
Renaming the item will break them (I may provide a way to rename the items on a future version, using the config).
You can apply infinity to the bows with no problem.
hi i need to ask you two things cant they be renamed and the bows can they be made with infinity
Can this be compatible with multiverse-inventories cause whenever the server is restarted or a player switches the world the Books of souls and custom items he has in his inventory they stop working
@FUNxLOL
Any error on the console? Does it said "CustomItems has been enabled."?
The only command is /citem
Unknown command.. type /help for help... wtf?
would be cool if u can make custom recipes for the items
There is already a project called CustomItems on BukkitDev, that's messing up with its approval, I'm changing its name to CustomItemsAPI.
I will probably do an update this week to change the internal references to the name, (along with an update to NBTEditor).
This version (v0.0.2) may take a bit longer to be approved, because I re-submitted the project to try to get it out of experimental state. Now the file is waiting on the approval of the project first.
Just updated to v0.0.2 (awaiting approval), change log here.
This is a small update, mainly to support the new version of NBTEditor (v0.0.3) and few bug fixes.
(If you´re going to use NBTEditor v0.0.3, YOU NEED TO UPDATE)
Wow
Nice plugins goncalomb :) love em both
@EpicTrance
yes it does, look at the config
