Corpses
This is a plugin mostly intended for PvP and RP servers. It modifies the players behavior on death. Now, instead of dropping the items and disappearing, the player spawns a corpse! The corpses inventory (previously owned by the dead player) can be accessed by right-clicking it. The time the corpse stays is configurable. Note: This plugin (v1.4 and lower) requires RemoteEntities to run.
The version numbers specify the version in which the features appear
Features
- Player spawns a corpse on death(v1.0)
- Players inventory is assigned to the corpse(v1.0)
- Corpses inventory can be accessed by right-clicking it(v1.0)
- Armor can be taken off just by hitting the corpse(v1.0)
- TagAPI support. (Colored name)(v1.2)
- Remove corpses by punching them with a stone shovel (v2.0)
Permissions
- corpses.nocorpse - Player dies the classic way, without spawning a corpse (v1.0)
- corpses.bury - Bury corpses with a stone shovel (v2.0)
ToDo
- Make plugin independent from RemoteEntities - Done! (v2.0)

Sorry for the watermark. I really can't afford to buy the software :/
The corpse despawn time was set to 30 secs for the purpose of demonstration.

What would occur if a player were to die in lava or fire, would the corpse disintegrate like a normal death?
Alright, the bug regarding player inventories is squashed. I will be releasing a 1.5.2 version since I know most of you still use it :)
@darkness1999
Yeah, thats not a bug. Thats client-sided, so I really can't do much about it
My Corpse is moving :( (BUG) in version 1.3
@antichip
The 1.5.2 issue is with RemoteEntities, not Corpses. I really don't recommend using the 1.0 version lol. Its very unstable.
Same issue as described below, player does not die, and can be opened like a chest by other players. When the dead player leaves the game they can't actually log back in till the corpse times out due to inactivity, 13 min on mt server, no afk, and if they do try logging in it gives them the boot cause there is a player with the same nick already playing. I figured it was due to me still running a 1.5.2 server. I had to shut down anp pull it and reboot after 4 people died and I figured it was about to get crazy.
cool plugin!! some issues tho on the beta 1.6.2 servers the first kill works fine but if you respawn then you can not be killed by a player or kill another player and if someone right clicks you they can still see your inventory. I realize this was made for 1.5.X just wanted this to be known.
Hey there Alexander, I did a little video review of your plugin here. This is the first I've seen of its kind. Although it is still a little buggy :P Great job overall though! :D

Again thank-you for the patience with me I do swear I'm not totally retarded, I use the term mod and plugin a little loosely. There is another plug-in corpses. I deleted everything. I have your 1.0 in my plugins folder and remote entities 1.6 in there also. I still get the error saying remote entities must be enabled. I will take my issue to the remote entities area, again thank you for your patience and time.
@antichip
Just FYI, I have no idea what the corpses mod is. This plugin is completely server-sided. I should probably change it, but v1.0 works with 1.5.2.
I am almost certain I am having issues due to the quite simple fact that I am still using 1.5.2. I thought this was the corpses mod that I had originally downloaded, and when I used bukkit manager and went to the project page of the for-mentioned corpses plugin it brought me here. both do the same thing, the other one is highly flawed it seems. After looking over everything I do not see a 1.5.2 compatible version. I will have to wait till I choose to do the update to get this mod for the server. I am very sad over it. It would have made an excellent way to keep the PvP scavengers from pillaging newer players items. I do appreciate your time and eneggies in this matter even if I do not get to enjoy them as of yet.
@antichip
I released a new version that works with the newest RE
@CarrotNubbin
Yep
@Alexander5657
V1.2 is the one compat with 1.7 RemoteEntites, correct?
@antichip
You need this plugin: RemoteEntities
Hi, I installed older version of the remote entities and still the corpses is giving me the following errors. I do not plan on updating to 1.6.2 until I am sure all my plugins will be operating corectly. Could I please get assistance in ths endeavor. IE getting this to work in 1.5.2 please?

@CarrotNubbin
Yeah, it worked with an older version of RemoteEntities. Should work now when the new file gets approved
Alright, sorry, was away. Yes, it didn't work with 1.6 because of the change in the class name. The next update (being checked) should have both TagAPI support and work with 1.6 :)
Hey, just found out what was the probbum. I needed RemoteEntites... so I downloaded it, and put the .jar into me plugins folder. Well, either RemoteEntities doesn't load for some reason, or Corpses didn't recognize it, but... the error kept coming. Perhaps you should update it to go with RemoteEntites V1.7?
:l 1.6.2 no workie?
EDIT: This one won my "Most Unhelpful Comment" contest. :D
