Combat Tag
This plugin is unsupported!!! Use CombatTagPlus instead.
The essential PvP plugin that prevents hit-n-quit players. No longer will the fun of killing other players be ruined!
Combat tag is a plugin that can prevent your players from pvp logging, period.
Reason why we developed this:
When your players are in the heat of battle, sometimes someone gets cold feet, and logs out while in combat!
This means that the player can no longer be harmed, because they are offline.
This can be EXTREMELY irritating to other players, because the person they were attacking, is now safe and keeps all of their items.
How it works:
Combat tag makes it impossible to pvp log!
When a player is struck by another player, combat tag logs it in its log.
If one of the players logs off within 10 seconds (time can be changed) of being struck, combat tag comes to play.
Combat tag makes it so that if the player logs off within the ten second field, he spawns an NPC with the same inventory/health as him.
The player that was attacking then can attack the NPC, and the same is done to the logged off player.
If the player kills the NPC, the player that logged off in combat is also killed, and drops everything in their inventory.
If the player causes damage to the NPC, the player that is logged off also takes the damage (including armor).

About Incompatibilities:
As with any plugin where fake players exist, there will be places where other plugins do not take into account the possibility of fake players and may have unexpected results. I can't change how other plugins handle these NPCs, so probably a good bet if you're getting random PvPLogger files is to change the npc name to "player." That way the player and the NPC will share the same files.
Known Incompatibilities:
- Heroes in both instakill and NPC mode - No duplication of items, but players will respawn in their old location with the health they logged out at
- ModifyWorld - Npcs will not take damage

Was my ticket deleted?
Example working config is needed some where in the doc's it shows the default file currently and not a file that actually dose some thing. im sitting here scratching my head trying to work out if the commands need the / in the listing or not. because factions works with and with out the / :(
tried every thing i can think off and i cant stop the factions commands and the logout npc seems to be a bit like maybe ill work maybe I wont...
@LordKainzo
I can tell where they land, etc. Why?
@cheddar262
Is it possible to track projectiles like Arrows? ..
Also, please. If there is an issue, please make a ticket for it instead of commenting here. It's hard to keep up with comments and the issues they pose. You can also probably get a faster reply. :)
@Crayder
What do you mean by "they can't warp"?
The new version should fix the problem I have noticed where when you hit players in Factions SafeZones and they take no damage, they can't warp? Multiworld support would be awesome, too.
Hey everyone... New version should be up when Bukkit approves it! If you find any bugs, please make a ticket.
When is the update coming out? :3 ==**
Could we get non-persistent npcs for players? My server is being plauged by "PvPLoggerX"'s in the spawn by players who logged out "in combat" but then haven't logged back in. If the NPCs decayed after a while it would be preferred.
With nocheat becoming more effective, I am hoping you can make it so that if a player is kicked the NPC does not spawn. The reason being, if for some reason nocheat detects a hack and does an instant ban, which my server does on some instances, that player doesn't leave the NPC behind. This way, if for some reason there was a false flag and I need to appeal the ban, the player isn't penalized by having himself killed because of the nocheat flag.
Any way you can enable this?
Finally - any way you can set a limit on the length of time the NPC stays around?
Great plugin. Use it a lot on my HC server with great success.

Well, if that's the way /stop looks when you issue it on your server, something is wrong...
I'd like a config to rename PVPLOGGER to something else like COWARD01
I was getting under high player peaks 90+ Players Strange Server "Stoppage". The server would literally stop in the same manner as when you issue a /stop command. Removing Combat Log Resolved this problem. This was tested twice with 1.1-R1. It is definitely a problem related to this plugin.
I also found this error in the Log:

I am also getting persistant pvploggers. Even after they are killed, their name remains in the TAB Playerlist.
Please fix as soon as u can, thanks again for the great plugin!
I'm not using factions. Its a hardcore SMP server. It happens on both my server and on another hardcore server. Since the initial 100 blocks around spawn are protected from PvP and other damage, the NPC doesn't go away, ever, if the person logs out there.
Then again, I don't know if the NPC ever goes away if they combat log outside spawn. So maybe this is intended?

http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/combat-tag/tickets/10-blacklist-not-compatible-with-factions-plugin/
please fix this, is it also possible to give it a command whitelist? ! I rather have a whitelist then a blacklist, because People shouldnt command stuff while in combat anyway!
