Color Portals
Color Portals lets users create portals in game with little effort and no commands to type!
Using wool, a sign, a pressure plate, and a button, players can create their own portals!
Features:
- No commands necessary to set up portals.
- Portals link automatically. No running back and forth setting locations.
- MultiVerse/MultiWorld compatible. Teleport between worlds with ease.
- No permissions required. (But are supported)
- No configuration required. (But many options are supported)
- Plug and Play.
Download now and try it out for yourself!
Optional Commands:
- /portal info or /cp info - Use while standing in or looking at a portal to get more information on the portal and where it warps to.
- /portal list or /cp list - Displays how many portals are registered on the server.
Color Portals is by far the easiest to use portal plugin to date and is also the most fun. People on your server will not be able to get enough!
I have put many hours of work into this plugin and it is my hope than anyone who enjoys the features it brings to their server will donate.
@scorppoison
I'm just now having the same problem. I think it may have to do with other warp plugins like I also have MUW installed for intraworld warps but I've had issues with MUW so i disabled it. Once I did CP is not working. All the info on the signs are still there but no action when pushing buttons :(
My portals keep randomly "crashing" meaning one day I log on and they're fine, the next they look the same but they don't link up. Without a list of coords I am unable to repair them :( I've tried reinstalling everything as many ways as I can. :( Help!
This is a great plugin, thank you for creating it. Could you possibly add a command to see how many portals are active to include color/channel and a command for admin to go to them?
Just a thought because this would be very useful for me.
Thank you.
May you please update to 1.6.1? please and thank you that would be great!!
@SnowGears
That would be AWESOME! Let me know if I can help in anyway!
Even just a list of uneditable coordinates for each portal would be good :)
@rhettbutler13
Just reinstall the plugin
So I think I broke something... I had some portals linked up, and used WorldEdit to move a couple. I had a feeling it would break, and it did... but now I can't remake the portals because "You cannot put a sign on a portal with an existing sign." This is after I destroyed them completely.
How do I fix this? I feel terrible for breaking it so badly.
Great plugin! It works really well in 1.5.2
@scorppoison
Yes that is a major thing I am going to work on. I am going to save portals in an easy to read way that lets server owners edit or delete portals through the portals.yml file.
Question, I am attempting to read file that stores the information (Portals.yml). I assume it would provide coordinates for every portal made, but whenever I open it all the numbers and only the numbers show up as the word NUL in a black circle.
Do you know of anyway I can access the numbers? Whenever MC updates and all the portals break, I'd rather not have to keep a database of them if it already does that. XD

god job, great mod
@superseady
You need to update to Java 7
The console says that the plugin is not up to date and the portals won't work.
@SnowGears
thank :)
@porthos203
Yes it works with multiworld
thank nice pluging so it work with multiworld?
You are a programming GENIUS!!! :D I do have a request though... I don't know if it's actually done, but can you make it so that when the plugin is enabled, it will check if any portals are outside of the minimum and maximum distance range (In case the option is changed) and if one is it will do the same thing that is done when the portal is destroyed, except it will say UNUSABLE (For example. You can use something else) instead of DESTROYED. This can also be applied for maxPortalsPerGroup. Below is an example. In this example, there are two portals that are 94 blocks away from each other.
Before
config.yml
Sign
After
config.yml
Sign
Question/suggestion: is it possible to set a different kind of block for building portals in the config file? Wool is very common, and I'd like to limit the number of portals built on my server by making them out of something more limited like diamond, gold or maybe lapis lazuli blocks. If this option isn't currently possible, I'm willing to help add it. (I've written a little java or I can test development versions if needed)
