Clear Dropped Items
ClearDroppedItems
OverView
Ever get tired of having hundreds of dropped items just sitting around causing massive server side and client side lag? Well, here's a solution! Yeah, yeah, I know there are other plugins out there that do this but they can contain a bunch more commands that could be useless, and of no benefit to you. ClearDroppedItems is a simple light weight plugin just topping 3 KB (Now 5 KB) and has less than 50 (Now 80) lines of code. I mean, how much simpler can you get than that (Still pretty simple)?
Please leave comments about features you would like to have :D
Commands/ Permissions
Now updated ClearDroppedItems has: /cd, /cd clear, /cd version, /cd nearby <radius>, /cd timer <time in seconds> I have taken the time to go ahead and add permissions on it so that under-ranked players could not abuse it (Down Below)
Once again here are the command(s) and permission(s): Command(s): /cd, /cd clear, /cd version, /cd nearby <radius>, /cd timer <time in seconds> Permisson(s): cd.use
Feel free to leave your server IP and IGN in the comments so I can see this plugin in action!
As stated above, I DO need help, so I am currently open to any sugestions or any questions about being a tester/helper/etc. E-mail me at: [email protected]
-Thanks Andrew
Have you added a waring before it clears the items? Or does it already exist?
Hello! I hope the creator/s see this!
Adding a warning and/or countdown would be really useful to warn players, something that could be turned on or off so people who don't care for it have a choice
or/and a command that users can put in chat to see when next clear is
(sorry if this is already a thing)
Any idea how to clear items in multiple worlds? xd
Then i set /cd timer 20 it says i need to restart server, then i restart the server and come back it still dont work
HELP!! ;D
Anwer quick Please!
Good plugin! Can you add a command to clear a specific configurable item name?
Thanks!!!!
@JaysonBlack1492
dude i know you havent commented on this in awile but still
stop being lazy !!!! just look up how many sec are in 20 min thats what i did works fine duh XD lol jk im not realy being mean
Hi, I'd like you to add a feature where if you set the clear timer to 0 it never clears. This is so I can run it manually without having it interfere.
This is almost exactly what I need I want it to clear all drops every 20 minutes. URG! Help plz
I'm not trying to be too judgemental, but I would not advise this plugin as a tool to use unless one has a very specifically-built server in which there are many pointless items just lying around. Honestly, dropped items cause barely any noticable lag unless the numbers go into the 10-thousands (like those times you've hit a zombie with a looting 50000 sword, right? ;)
Generally saying, it's a good, light-weight plugin, but I'm pretty sure that a little tiny lag relief would not be worth the annoyance of players who died somewhere and got back just this much to late || before the plugin destroyed their items.
Still, it could definitely be put to great use on some servers
Right now I am working on version 1.4 of clear dropped items and i need more ideas to implement into the plugin. I would greatly appreciate any thoughts anyone may have.
@ancientart
There is no auto clear in game, but just a command that will clear items at server start. I can implement this if you want me too.
how often does auto clear , clear everything. can you please add to config?
@ArrowcraftDevteam
No, it is optional to have it.
Do you have to have PEX or Group Manager??

Before anything scclear.use is obsolete, so there is no need to use it anymore. Thank you very much for finding this problem. I have resubmitted the fixed jar to bukkit and hopefully they will approve it soon, because the only problem is I forgot to change a couple things in the plugin.yml file inside cleardroppeditems_v1.2.jar. As this is an easy fix, and you shouldn't even need to update it to fix. Just take this link: [offsite link removed] and place it in the cleardroppeditems_v1.2.jar (replacing the old one) using winrar or a similar program. Restart your server and permissions should be fixed.
Hey.
Permissions dont really work.
permissions.yml has:
cdclear.use cdc.use cdauto.use cdnearby.use scclear.use
and
plugins/PermissionsEx/permissions.yml
has:
groups:
default:
default: true
permissions: - cdclear.use - multiworld.command.goto - multiworld.command.list - cdauto.use - cdnearby.use - scclear.use
But normal users cant use /cdc
:(
Using latest version (1.2) / MC: 1.7.9 Bukkit
@Squishies
I changed the whole plugin back to ClearDroppedItems, so now the command would be /cdclear or /cdc. And I have noticed the problem with that, being when the plugin gets the dropped entity list from the world it would get whatever world the player was in. The problem being that console isn't in a world. I have solved this problem by the plugin creating an auto config.yml file with an area to define the world that you want the dropped entities cleared. And from that another problem arises, what if you have multiple worlds you want to clear the entities in? And with that I have partly solved the problem with creating a new command, /cdnearby or /cdn. This command as stated in the description, will clear the defined radius of entities that is declared in the config.yml file. This is not a fix to multiple world entity clearing, but just a substitute. I just really wanted to get an update out to you guys because it was so outdated. I will fix this in the next update, along with any other ideas you guys have. But yes, you can use cdclear (formally scclear) in console now.
@jeffinaboxx
It's implemented in the new version :D

Is there a way to run this when the server restarts? I'm using a shop plugin that duplicates the display item upon restart so having this run at that time would be great, or will I simply just have to do it manually?
