Description
Tired of adding people to your yaml files? So was I, so I created this little plugin.
It provides a basic class system based on ranks, i.e. you have multiple classes that are divided into ranks.
You can allow players to rank themselves up/down or just keep that for yourself, the admins, or another plugin e.g. CommandSigns.
Features
- Add users to classes
- Rank them up/down inside a Class tree
- Enter partial username - works for online users!
- Allow players to rank up/down themselves (or even others)
- Take fee for rankup
- Customize class display colors
- Customize playername and world color in messages
- Customize classes and ranks by ops
Options
- Display class changes in public
- Rank in multiple worlds (use all as world)
- Require items (reagents) for ranking (since v0.1.3.3)
- Require experience for ranking (since v0.2.0)
For version 1.7.x and above
- Vault for economy and permissions
Older version before 1.7
- BOSEconomy 7.2
- Essentials Economy
- iConomy 5
- iConomy 6
- MultiCurrency
- Vault for economy and permissions
@Flenix1
well, the onlyoneclass is for that I hope xD
it's as follows:
onlyoneclass = true: you have a rank, rank up to the next one, the old rank (permissions group) gets removed
onlyoneclass = false: you have a rank, rank up to the next one, this gets added to your (permissions) groups
Can it be set that people can only have one rank at a time? Post doesnt seem to say either way :P
@MightL1ne
well, guess what - done :D

The prices block defines ranking cost ;)
@AgentNevada
Yes, that's why I created it :) On my server we have Mage / Warrior more is planned ;)
Hey I was wondering could you add the use of economy?, for example . Letting people pay for them to be able to rank up to the next spcified rank?
this is probably a good plugin ... but its so impossible to work out how to use and edit it that its not worth the time and effort to try
@GeneralDevilman
ClassRanks offers PEX supports, so in general every possible nodes ;) If you have issues with it, just open up a ticket, we will fix it :)
ClassRanks unterstützt PEX, und somit auch alle möglichen Nodes ;) Wenn du Probleme hast, mach einfach nen Ticket auf, das machen wir schon :)
hi, i m trying to switch from Heroes to ClassRanks (cause i m using PEX which dosen't work correctly with Heroes), i'ld like to know, if ClassRanks if it's possible to use the nodes from modifyWorld :-P
answer in german is possible/prefered ^^
@hippo429
no, please use a chat handling plugin for that :) I propose mChatSuite :)
Way back with Permissions 3 , it worked this way, but no other perms plugin interferes with chat names directly - which is a good thing imo. Perms are perms and chat is chat :)
Is it supossed to show your rank and rank colour when you speak? its not working for me...
@kahlilnc
oh well how shoudl I know which classes are fighter and which classes are business? :D
@fisherman77
if I understood you correctly... yes
So can you make it to where you get more permissions per each level?
@SLiPCoR
Like a business class and a fighter class. Lol its not needed. Just a request from one of my admins
@kahlilnc
Not atm... Why do you want to limit someone to two classes?
onlyoneclass: true
is a option, is it possible to set it to only allow 2?
Could you give an example of how to setup this plugin using different ladders in PEX?
PEX permissions.yml example with ladder system in place:
groups:
Unknown:
permissions:
- commandbook.msg
default: true
options:
rank: '1000'
worker1:
options:
rank: '950'
rank-ladder: peopleA
worker2:
options:
rank: '900'
rank-ladder: peopleA
leadworker:
options:
rank: '500'
rank-ladder: peopleA
ModeratorA:
options:
rank: '100'
rank-ladder: peopleA
laborer1:
options:
rank: '950'
rank-ladder: peopleB
laborer2:
options:
rank: '900'
rank-ladder: peopleB
headlaborer:
options:
rank: '500'
rank-ladder: peopleB
ModeratorB:
options:
rank: '100'
rank-ladder: peopleB
So when a new player logs on they are in "Unknown" and trapped in a little room. I want them to choose a side and be put on that ladder. As of now the only way I know how to do this is to manually put them on the ladder they have chosen. /pex promote <user> <ladder> is the only way I know how to do it.
@ShanevMeyr
Autorank... Might be a possibility, how do you mean 'in chat'? Before the username or like 'slipcor ranked up to #rank'?
I'm also looking for something like this: an automated ranking system that ranks players up depending on their xp and displaying the level in the chat
Hello (Excuse me for my English I am French). I do not really understand how to manage your plugin. For my server, I want to change the group automatically. Example: Player is in the group user1 and I want it pays to go with xp in the group user2. This would be to allow players to get active new permissions as buy, sell, ect .. Can you explain how? Thank you in advance
@vilip0
yep, I use mChat for that :) works out of the box!
@Mukrakiish
you understood it right, that is what ClassRanks does. You say /class bla and it puts you inside the bPerms file! Which version of bPermissions are you using, which version of ClassRanks are you using? The last versions included fixes, especcially about bPerms :)
