ChunkOwn
Version 1.0.4
NOTE: This plugin requires you have Vault enabled on your server
This is a very simple way to handle griefers. It allows Player's to buy specific Chunks in the World so only they (and admins) can build there. Admins can limit how many Chunks each player can own, and Players can add Co-owners to allow them building rights.
Features:
- Supports all major Economies and Permission Plugins thanks to Vault
- You can change what command this plugin uses by editing the plugin.yml (found inside the plugin jar file)
- MultiWorld support
- Configurable properties
- Custom messages
- Players can buy unowned land, no need for Admins to run around protecting houses for Players
- Limit the amount of Chunks Players can own
- Custom buy/sell prices
- Customize how deep Players own land (defaulted near sea level)
- Option to automatically place a specific type of block along the edge of the Player's Chunk (to outline)
- Option to delete a Players owned Chunks and revert the Chunk back if they do not log in for a specified amount of days.
- Players can purchase Add-ons for their property such as chest locking, and auto healing
- Players can be notified when they enter someone else's owned land
- Players can be notified when another Player enters their owned land (with TextPlayer support)
- Players can preview land before they buy it
- Players can be forced to group their land together
- Optional increased cost for each additional Chunk
- Simple commands
- Blocks many griefing events
- Allows Co-owners who will also have build rights
- Co-owners can be a specific Player or a specific Permissions Group

Coming soon!
Out of curiosity, does this plugin work with the latest version of minecraft, as well as bukkitforge?
It seems the coowner resets on every reaload of bukkit
I apologize for the lack of updates lately. Please view my latest video announcement at http://youtu.be/p6UOYgXmp4k for an update on the status of this and other plugins of mine.
A /chunkown reload command would be great.
@Denni300
I'm getting the same error, for me it says its trying to disown some one and then gives that error.
Would it be possible to set this to override WorldGuard protections? If I protect a town from being broken by players, but allow players to build inside their claims?
@Denni300 Denni,
What did you do to get that error?
@VergilPrime
Posting links to your page on someone's page may not be using their work as your own, but it certainly rude. Good work on creating a plugin though! Maybe after 2 years of maintaining it like codisimus has done you may become a little inactive at times yourself. I've read on his other plugin pages that finals are approaching for him, and he plans to return to his plugins once he's graduated. Makes sense, right? I don't want you to post your plugin, I like and use this one. Make a bukkit page, and get your own audience over time.
@TheSnowMan1991
I don't get anything if you use my code, so it isn't really using someone else's work now is it? The reason I decided to code my own is because this one has had serious bugs for several months, and as you can see it is rarely maintained or fixed.
tl;dr: get off your high horse.
Ill post it as soon as I have it seperated out into a file you can simply download.
I get this! What does this means ?:
[WARNING] [ChunkOwn] Task #49 for ChunkOwn v1.0.2 generated an exception java.lang.NullPointerException at com.codisimus.plugins.chunkown.ChunkOwn$1.run(ChunkOwn.java:886) at org.bukkit.craftbukkit.v1_5_R3.scheduler.CraftTask.run(CraftTask.java:53) at org.bukkit.craftbukkit.v1_5_R3.scheduler.CraftScheduler.mainThreadHeartbeat(CraftScheduler.java:345) at net.minecraft.server.v1_5_R3.MinecraftServer.r(MinecraftServer.java:513) at net.minecraft.server.v1_5_R3.DedicatedServer.r(DedicatedServer.java:226) at net.minecraft.server.v1_5_R3.MinecraftServer.q(MinecraftServer.java:477) at net.minecraft.server.v1_5_R3.MinecraftServer.run(MinecraftServer.java:410) at net.minecraft.server.v1_5_R3.ThreadServerApplication.run(SourceFile:573)
@pellopo82
any ETA of an update codisimus?
I'd love to see updates to this plugin!
@VergilPrime
Why would you say that? It's just rude to use someone else's work as your form of advertising? All plugins will have bugs at some stage - and I think you mean, "In lieu".. You're welcome.
Update needed to lock trapped chests with chunkown!
In lei of this plugin being updated/fixed, im coding a new personal claims plugin using CommandHelper and Worldguard. Will post a link and video soon.
@Codisimus I have the same problem with firing a bow as travja. It ONLY blocks bow fire when the land is protected AND had blockPVP enabled. if BlockPVP is disabled, you can fire your bow. Any ideas what might be going on here?
Cheers
When I reset the nether (deleting the nether folder) I get an error in server.log regarding chunkown:
2013-04-02 01:20:21 [WARNING] [ChunkOwn] Task #33 for ChunkOwn v1.0.2 generated an exception java.lang.NullPointerException at com.codisimus.plugins.chunkown.ChunkOwn$1.run(ChunkOwn.java:886) at org.bukkit.craftbukkit.v1_5_R2.scheduler.CraftTask.run(CraftTask.java:53) at org.bukkit.craftbukkit.v1_5_R2.scheduler.CraftScheduler.mainThreadHeartbeat(CraftScheduler.java:345) at net.minecraft.server.v1_5_R2.MinecraftServer.r(MinecraftServer.java:510) at net.minecraft.server.v1_5_R2.DedicatedServer.r(DedicatedServer.java:225) at net.minecraft.server.v1_5_R2.MinecraftServer.q(MinecraftServer.java:474) at net.minecraft.server.v1_5_R2.MinecraftServer.run(MinecraftServer.java:407) at net.minecraft.server.v1_5_R2.ThreadServerApplication.run(SourceFile:573)
@Codisimus
I'm having the same Problem as @Denni300 here. I've tried changing it in the config.properties file in "plugins\chunkown" and also in the archive "plugins\chunkown.jar" it just seems impossible to place torches along the borders. What am i doing wrong?
Ive also changed the prices of chunks to 100 and set the multiplier to 1.2 but when i type / land it still says "... buy the current chunk for $0..."
When trying to fire my bow in a protected area, nothing happens... I think it's because your code blocks the BowFireEvent no matter who is firing the bow.
@Weedchrist
Ill try that thanks :)
