ChunkKeeper
You have a huge redstone complex that is so big that not everything is loaded?
You want to teleport players to an unloaded place and it always lags?
Then this plugin is exactly right for you!
What does it do?
This plugin allows you to define chunks or bigger regions and to never let them unload!
The selected chunks/regions won't unload when you move far away.
They'll even be loaded automatically when the server shuts down and starts again!
Where to use it
Example 1
Let's say you've built a huge redstone complex.
It is a great invention and the redstone works perfectly.
There's only one problem: The whole complex is so big that not all pieces of the complex are loaded at the same time because you are too far away!
Here comes the solution! ChunkKeeper!
Simply select your whole redstone complex and tell ChunkKeeper to keep it loaded!
It's that simple!
Example 2
Let's say you have a big server and you have some warp points that are currently not loaded.
Sometimes when you want to teleport to these points the server lags or you are in the void and it takes some seconds to load the world.
The solution is ChunkKeeper!
Again simply select the warp point and tell ChunkKeeper to keep it loaded!
The server lags or void-spawning will disappear!
Commands
- /keepchunk: The chunk you are currently in won't unload anymore.
- /releasechunk: The chunk you are currently in will be able to unload again (if it was selected for keeping loaded before)
- /keepregion: The region you have selected with the wand (wooden axe by default) won't be unloaded anymore. Please note that this function requires WorldEdit to work.
- /releaseregion: The selected region will be able to unload again. This function requires WorldEdit too.
- /releaseall: This funtion releases ALL regions and chunks that are selected for keeping loaded.
Permissions
The only permission for this plugin is: chunkkeeper.
All commands of this plugin require this permission.
Of course it'll also work if you are OP.
I recommend a permisison plugin like GroupManager or PermissionsEx.
Requirements
It is optional to run this plugin with WorldEdit. Commands like /keepregion and /releaseregion require the WorldEdit plugin.

I am a noob when it comes to plug-ins/mods so I'm sorry if this is a dumb question but will chunks stay loaded in the overworld if I am in the nether?
This. Plugin. Rules.
Just don't let it get outdated, eh mate?
this work great. thank you!
please add an option to disable "[ChunkKeeper] Loading Cunk" messages on startup.
Hi y'all, I see there has been some multiverse compatibility talk here. I dont mean to repeat any topics but i have this issue, i use the Multiverse-Adventure plugin to reset a world when empty automatically except, it wont reset with the chunks perma-loaded..... Anyone know a work around for this? or how to either: unload the chunks before reset or keep chunks loaded only when in the world?
ps, like one guy was saying, my always day timer, which is in a stay-loaded-chunk and works in the world, does not work outside of the world (which is cool with me)
@oblexive
if you find a fix can you please let me know? cheers :)
@oblexive
Sorry no ideas, but this is happening to me too. :(
Hey i put this plugin on my server, commands work and everything. Though the chunks arent staying loaded. If someone logs out or goes away from the area it unloads still. Any ideas?
@Chaznuts
That's right. But it is your decision whether or not to keep chunks in other worlds loaded. This feature is still related to a small lag risk.
It's your decision.
@hasseos
He wasn't talking about keeping all chunks loaded in other worlds, just the other worlds (with any chunks you saved with this plugin). If you didn't save any with this plugin, the world would not be loaded, but if you did, only those chunks saved in the world (plus the world itself) will stay loaded.
Also, upon server start and loading the chunks, it says "Cunk" lol
if you keep all chunks loaded from every single world, then your server will lagg so baad, it eats all your RAM memory
@Deviality
You know what? I'll simply keep all worlds with perma-loaded chunks loaded :D
@Deviality
Well, ChunkKeeper only keeps the chunk loaded if the world itself is loaded. So you have to keep the world loaded. I you are using Multiverse you can set some property in the config file so that the world is permanent loaded.
Looks like this plugin doesn't work with multiworlds, I have a timer in one world that I want to stay loaded but it always unloads while I am in another.
I use this timer for enabling PvP on a UltraHardcore server that is in another world
Is there a way to allow a player say a donator to have 5 chunks and only 5 or what ever you set it as in there permission?
@MinecraftShamrock
The strange thing is that there is no error message, but i know what i'm talking about. I launched clean server with ChunkKeeper and then added MineBackup plugin - after that redstone schemes and plants and and so on stopped working in selected area. It's quite strange
@Nik0lashka
I do not know minebackup. So I don't know the exact reason for your problem. But if there is an error message please show it to me.
MineBackup prevents this plugin from work
Creat Plugin, thanks
This Plugin´works perfectly for me :)
