ChestShop (iConomyChestShop)
Acrobot released his first Android game, would you mind giving it a go?
ChestShop
A simple, yet very powerful system for making physical shops using signs and chests.
It's never been that easy to create shops! With features like shop protection and anti-lag protection, you won't have to worry about your server's economy anymore!
"Just works"! ChestShop supports almost all economy plugins by using Vault!
(Versions above 3.9.2 also support economy plugins using the Reserve API)
Some known compatible and incompatible economy plugins.
Please check if there are newer development builds before reporting issues!
If you are upgrading from a previous version of ChestShop please make sure to always read the warnings in the file's changelog!
The plugin by default submits anonymous stats about your server (player count, plugin/server version and type) to a public statistics websites (mcstats.org and bstats.org) in order to provide the developers with usage information. If you wish to opt out, you can do so in the PluginMetrics/config.yml and bstats/config.yml files. It also features an auto-update feature, which can be turned off in the config.

How to create a shop
Player shop
Place a chest on the ground
Place a sign 1 block away from the chest (for example, above it)
On the sign, write: | |
Leave the first line empty. It will be automatically filled with your name by the plugin (if you have the permission ChestShop.admin then you can create shops with the names of other players)
Second line is the amount of items to buy or sell
Third line is a combination of buy and sell prices. You need to have a price indicator (like 'B' - price that will apply to items BOUGHT by PLAYERS - or 'S' - the SELL price) near the price - the prices are separated by a colon (:) |
Some of the possible price combinations: "B 5:5 S", "B 5", "S free" |
The forth line will hold the id/name of the item. Write ? on the sign and the item will be autofilled with the one from the chest or you can click on the sign with the item afterwards. Optionally you can put the actual name on it. You can find out the name of the item you're holding by doing /iteminfo |
|
Resulting Shop | |
A person can buy 64 diamonds for 10 dollars and sell them back for 5 dollars from Phoenix616 |
If you want you can also take a look at this video tutorial.
Admin Shop - shop with unlimited items
Firstly, you've got to be sure that you've the ChestShop.admin permission or that you are an OP. To make an Admin Shop, simply put "Admin Shop" (configurable in config.yml) on the first line of the sign when creating the shop. Admin Shops do not require a chest!

@Hangar Hmm, my 3.35 jar matches the .zip .jar, even the "modified" date. I'm pretty sure that either will work fine.
The only thing I can think of is a broken download, you could re-download it then.
My "jar only" 3.35 doesn't seem to match the jar that came out of the 335 .zip file (doing a file comparison). I'm sure there's a good explanation but I'm not sure which I should use.
Thanks.
@cmumford516 Go to bukkit.yml, change spawn-radius to 0.
I have installed Chestshop on my server 1.1. The buy is working, but the sell is not work. I have put in all permission. So if anyone would be able to help.
Casey
@halorrr Well, you can give a faction
ChestShop.name.factionName permission
where factionName is the faction economy account. They will be able to create shops for their faction.
Is there a way to integrate ChestShop with factions, so instead of the money going directly to the player, it can go to a faction's bank account directly?
@GudfareN92
Good idea - problem is how to find two players form a sign, without storing extra information in ChestShop.
If you just use the name of a BankAccount (i.e. have ChestShop support bank accounts like "$account1", then the money would go to their account and the players decide how to share - Problem might by whom to give access to the chest (without further protection plugins), because the economy API needs to allow for looking up players for a given account name then.
Other attempt is to use some Group or team plugin that ChestShop interfaces to to find out whose accounts should benefit, the syntax would then use something like [Groupname] instead of the player name. That too is realistic, if a team/party plugin supports looking up the names for a given team/party name.
Suggestion.... Let the shop share the money between 2 people. So 2 ppl can own the shop if u know what i mean..
Like if a guy buys an item for 60 then it will share it 50/50 to both players that owns the shop...
I guess it will need to have some bankaccount thingy then..
So we can type the bankaccount name instead of the names for the players.
PreciousStones integration please
Delete shop on empty options please

@OMGBENNN Nope, not in its current state, sorry :/
Can you sell xp with the plugin??
@stargateanubis14 Yep, shop exists when the shop sign exists.
@Acrobot
Grr... how exactly is a shop registered? is it simply by the existence of a sign? (eg, not the creation/edit of the sign, or the destruction of the sign). If it is just a live check on a sign, then it takes away a lot of possibilities for any workaround .... :/ I'll check with towny if they have any possible ways around it.
Thanks!
@stargateanubis14 Sorry - that's probably Towny's anti-grief protection kicking in. Even if I destroyed the sign by code (which is a bit unnecessary), Towny would still recover it.
@litleinmc Yeah, it was not in a different thread, use this version: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/11388037/Bukkit/ForAnachen/ChestShop.jar
@imaxorz Well, I think it's a Falsebook's issue :/ Thanks for reporting :)
I've also got a bug...It involves towny, but i'm sure it could be replicated other ways.
When a player is a part of a town, and creates a shop inside the town, and then leaves the town, they can destroy the shop (getting the shop's refund). However, the sign is protected via towny, thus the shop is recreated, and they still get the refund.
I'm not using 'towny integration' because i want users to be able to build shops wherever they want... but this appears to be an issue for anywhere that a user creates a shop inside an area that they were once a member/had build rights, and then lost build rights...
Right now, im going to have to disable refunds, but thats sort of a perk for shops at the moment... It would be nice to have a fix for this :/ (such as the sign being deleted by the ChestShop plugin as OP if the owner of a shop destroys the sign).
I think it is not in a different thread. It takes 3 minutes to make the submitting of statistics fail. The server does not start up during this time.
Found a bug, not sure if it's known.
Basically you can use FalseBooks door function to break into chests.
Steps: 1: Place a sign [door up] below the block with chest shop sign 2: Place a sign with [door down] above the block with chest shop sign 3: Toggle the door, which makes the shop sign fall off, and now the chest with goodies can be accessed.
@LordKainzo I think I did - I've put it in an asynch task that runs 20 ticks after ChestShop's startup. You can also use the dev version, it should work fine.
@Acrobot
Did you fix the long pause on startup times? If you're using stats/metrics you're going to have to put the checks on a different thread i think.
@Acrobot
Thank you :)
