    This is a tricky one, but it would help in custom terrains generated by non-vanilla world generators which don't create underground "anomalies", or not enough, which are essential for COV to function.

    An interesting idea would be to treat area edges as anomalies, ready to be linked.

    I'm gonna give it a shot and see the results.
