bukGet Web Interface

Warning: This project is experimental. Its files will not synchronize across the CurseForge network.

1: The Idea:

There are many Web Interfaces for Bukkit servers out there. Although some are very advanced, not always is access possible. My system, being in development still, will provide a way for admins to install, remove and look for new plugins all on bukGet.com. This means that no web-server setup is required, no port configuration and finally, one-click installs are no more a thing of the future. If possible, plugin downloads will be possible directly from the repositories of BukkitDev.

This new platform will also enable basic social networking in relation to Minecraft. This describes features like inviting other players to a server or trading items. Another function may consist in automatic updates being applied to a server on a regular schedule.

2: State of development:

This is not my main job, but the login system and very dynamic content loading is already possible. Usually I devise 5 - 10 hours per week for development.

You may also want to follow me on twitter.com/#!/kuboschek for daily updates.

This creates a daily sum-up of developments: Daily Progress Report

3: Roadmap:

  • Development of Bukkit Plugin
  • BukkitDev repo connection(if allowed + possible)
  • Build trading system
  • Establish Web API for server connection

4: Collaboration:

I always welcome any serious contributors to join the project and help out. I would especially want help with the Bukkit plugin as Java is not my main programming language and a robust Bukkit plugin is the key to a solid system.

5: Early access:

Shortly: Not yet. The site is still in very early development. Once it is in a somewhat complete state I will first invite a few people and servers for pre-testing and then may open a public alpha to stress-test my servers. Let's see where it goes.

6: Licensing:

Once complete, the source code of the Java Plugin will be available, but the PHP and WebServer part will stay closed-source as the centralised management is key to the project concept. See the license text of this project for more information.
