This post is a dupe of issue 442. I also can't get custom nodes to work as expected, nor does the bukkit permissions.yml file work as expected.

i just made custom groups in place of custom nodes and had my other groups inherit them

Not a fix, but a good work around.

I'm having the same problem.

Why are the developers not fixing this? At least respond rather than ignore us all for 6 months.

I have fixed the problem and submitted a pull request on GitHub. The pull request has been accepted and a new release is now awaiting Bukkit Dev approval.

Custom nodes will be fully functioning.
