Overview
Use this plugin to spy on your player's commands without the extra effort of configuring other plugins.
Bukkit has not approved the latest file yet, it can be downloaded from here
Why is this plugin better?
This plugin is better than others that do the same thing because it does not have all that extra configuration and does not need to be turned on whenever you start your server (The plugin can still be turned off by using /bettercommandspy [on/off]), Also you can configure the message.
Installation
1. Drop the plugins .jar into your servers /plugins folder
2. Assign permission nodes using your favorite plugin IMPORTANT, or the plugin will not work
3. In the config edit the message using the variables %player %world and %command
3. Reload/Restart your server
Usage
Just run your server, set up permissions and see everyone's commands, except people with BetterCommandSpy.NpSpy!

Download
You can download the latest build for 1.4.6 from here or wait for bukkit to approve the file. There are no viruses is the file so do don't worry.

Try giving them the BetterCommandSpy.toggle permission, then have them do /bcs on.

Posted Sep 17, 2013Make it so you can spy per plugin. (Turn off everything but specific plugins IE essentials. /msg.) Also make it so when someone reads their /mail (Essentials) you also see their mail.

Just set online-mode to true in the server.properties. This will block all users using a cracked launcher from joining hence removing the need to XAuth or whatever auth plugin you are using.

it is premium but there is a cracked launcher out there, that lets users login without the original password which you register on minecraft.net, for example someone could login with that cracked launcher with my name and if they know my pass on the server (which admins do) they can get hacked.
Example: Cracked Launcher - Just username (no pass required)
Server - /login [Pass] (obtained by the command spy plugin)

And for the admins, i do trust them at the moment, but ill have to get more to cover a night shift while im asleep, opening hacking possibilities which i am concerned about. disabling the plugin for the admin group will cause more hesitation while dealing with greifers, so i am stuck.

I am currently in the middle of doing a complete rewrite so the next update may take awhile. The feature you mentioned is planned however in the meantime if you have good admins they should be nice with the passwords. Also it might be a good idea to un-crack your server.

Posted Jul 10, 2013hi there i use this plugin on my server (1.6.2) and it works fine, its just some of my staff dont like it as its a bit spammy when its on and the server is busy i no there is a way to turn it off but could u add a way to turn it off per player? thanks carl

The current version works with 1.5.2. There is also full 1.5.2 support with that version.

It works for ops in version 0.0.3 and later, also the toggle for it to be on/off starts on. if you look at the permissions section you can see the deafult for all of the permissions

Well as op I expected to be able to have all the permissions. This may be why it did not work for me.
I added the permissions to my admins+ and I didn't think to ask them if it worked, because it didn't even work for me.
Ill give it another shot later tonight. so does it now work for ops as well or did i read that wrong?

You HAVE to set the permissions using a permission plugin or else it won't work, EVEN IF YOU ARE AN OP.
EDIT: uploaded version 0.0.3 that fixes that bug, you no longer need to set the permissions

The problem with others is that the toggle starts off off and then I had to turn it on whenever i go to my server. However if you want I can add an option to toggle it (but it will start off on)
