The BenCmd server mod has been discontinued due to ongoing problems keeping it up-to-date. Check out it's successor, GoldenApple for similar functionality.

Sorry then for linking...
Supporting vault means supporting all mayor economy plugins and permissions, btw your plugin would work with for example chest shop and much much more other plugins, now it doesn't. When other plugin depends on permissions plugin through vault your plugin fails now. BenCmd would be more god-like supporting all that stuff.
... and you could add virtual economy not only item based but for now it's okay

Please do not beg for me to support external plugins. If you want to see support that badly, you can fork my GitHub Repository, add support yourself, and send a pull request. I simply do not have the time to analyze and add support for every other plugin that somebody asks me to support.

Posted Jan 31, 2012ok never mined about the file editing i worked that out but i still need help with the kits and how to format the text file but now i have a new question how to change the colour of the name in the chat like i know how to do it but what is the colour code because 'red' dosn't work
pleas help
ps: this plugin is great but it really needs better documentation ASAP

When I add permisions from the consol it workes fine but when it try adding them in manuly it works but when I reload the sever it whipes every thing that I have typed in manualy
please help
ps: the reason why i want to do in manule is becaus it much quicker than dooing it threw the consle

You can give yourself all permissions by simply giving yourself or the admin group the * permission.

Yeah, unfortunately our documentation is not quite finished in areas such as channels. You can use /channel add General to create a channel that everyone will enter by default.
For now, I wouldn't recommend worrying about it too much, since the chat channel system is in the middle of being completely rewritten, since the older version was just a mess. When I release this system, I'm also hoping to release some documentation along with it.

i have a problem with this plugin regarding channels. on my sever no one can talk in the chat and is says this is because the player is not in a channel i was just wondering how i create a channel and how to add a player to it thanx.

1) I would LOVE to do that, but Bukkit makes it unnecessarily difficult, if not entirely impossible to do so in a user-friendly way. So for now I'll just have to hold off :(
2) The reason BenCmd doesn't use MySQL is that the server it was originally intended for (fearofmobs.com) had problems with loading SQL databases taking up enormous amounts of RAM.

Something that I dont see done often, or easily is easy-to-change command variables.. Like maybe having a file called commands.yml Example: (Using commandbook commands as that's what I know) commands: teleporting: /teleport > /tp
USAGE: commands: COMMANDTYPE (ie teleporting): OLDCOMMAND > NEWCOMMAND
I know this can be easily done in plugins.yml but this... this would make me switch/recommend it to other servers. :)
EDIT: Needs MySQL support for homes/warps/locking/protection database. :)
