BanItem
BanItem
Overview
Having trouble with players using modded items like turtles, quarry,etc.? BanItem allows you to ban any item of your choice! Add it to the blacklist which will prevent players to use the item! This plugin is best use for Tekkit or other mod packs server as it can ban items that have bugs, items that can grief houses even though they are protected and also allow owners to unban some items for different ranks!
PermissionEx is Recommended.
All of the BanItem versions works on all modpacks!

Tutorial
Update Check
- just disable the update check by putting 'false' on 'UpdateChecker'. Example:
UpdateChecker: false
Installing plugin:
- Download the plugin, install it on the server by unzipping the zip file and then move banitem.jar file into your plugins folder.
- Restart the server .
Adding ban item to ban list:
In game:
- /banitem add <reason> ( use this command when you're holding the item u wish to ban ). This is the most simplest way to add the item you wish to ban in the list.
On config:
- Navigate to banitem folder in your plugins folder.
- Open config.yml.
- Look at 'default-config.yml' for reference of how to add ban item into the config.
- After adding your list of ban items, just type /banitem reload on the server.(or if the server is off, just start it up)
- You're set!
Example for 3:
- - '5:-1:Wood is just awesome' [ -1 refers to all the numbers].
- - '35:6:No touching this wool'.

Upcoming Features
-Please suggest for more features to be added!
First of all thank you so much for this plugin. It is the only good plugin I can find to use on my tekkit 1.5.2 server.
There is one slight problem that I am having though. I want only specific groups to be able to use the teleport tether but i can't seem to get the permission working properly. I use pex BTW. My config and permissions are as follows.
Permissions: http:pastebin.com/8iXYLAvb
Config: http:pastebin.com/v9gwt5KF
Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks Again!
Please add selection for off that message. I only need reason message. srr for my bad eglish.
Hey
I have a few suggestions. I'm having to use this mod in conjunction with NoItem. NoItem allows me to block interactions with blocks like the enderchests and allows me to prevent players from dropping items.
However, BanItem allows me to confiscate items from player's inventory. It would be nice if some of the features that NoItem has could be added to BanItem.
Here are some of the restrictions that would be nice in BanItem:

@Razorskills
I will try and take that into consideration. Thank you again for your suggestions!

@WolfCFR
Hey Wolf, I was also wondering if you read the message I made about that subject aswell, the main subjects were:
1 - custom item returns
2 - item bans specific to a region (Spawn, Arena.. But the item wouldn't be destroyed if under this category for later use in a approved area)
Here is the post I made that may have more info: http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/banitem/?comment=245
@Arton123
I have look at your message and will add that feature on the next version. Thank you for your suggestion =D
@WolfCFR
Is it hard to make that feature im asking about? And no " /banitem clear <player> " is not anywhere near of what i am asking for. Please for the sake of modded server's community!
I feel like there is a 40% chance for you to respond!? :D

@WolfCFR
Idk :( i will update to 1.6.4 soon, I will let you know if the problem still happening
Sweet the new version was approved! I downloaded it again, although I won't be able to use its gloriousness yet.. Send me a message if there is a work around for the error I provided!
On another thought.. I wonder if my problem is reproducible with a fresh server, newest mcpc+ and only your plugin installed.. Il find out and report back!
Edit:
I found out it is only the /banitem command itself that gives an error! the plugin itself works awesome! (ps. I keep type '/banitem help' and Annoyingly it has a message that says to switch the order to '/help banitem' instead of bringing up the same menu. Im not sure if this is intended but it if so then im cool with it, I just wanted to let you know that its slightly annoying though.)
here is a copy of my cmd prompt for a freshly installed/generated server using MCPC+ with no mods and only BanItem:

I tested the banning stuff. And It works great. Im going to start using it, and stop using '/banitem' alone. For now anyways.
@Nikkolo94
I dont have that problem for some reason. I dont know why it is happening to you only :/
What about my last post?
@WolfCFR
But but, i am talking about a automatic feature, as soon as a banned item enter's a user inv, it turns to " Example: dirt "
@Arton123
I've already added that feature in the pre-release banitem v2.7. /banitem clear <player> or /banitem clear
@WolfCFR
Hmm i thought that mcpc+ just translated these event's so bukkit could understand it. :P
But now that i have your attention, i would like to hear your throughs about adding a feature that can replace banned items with other items, in a player's inv.
Working like a charm! Thanks again!
@Razorskills
yes, it is 1.6.4 compatible.
so is the 2.7 version okay to use on 1.6.4? I know some plugins are backwards compat. but I do like to make sure!
