BanItem
Overview
Having trouble with players using modded items like turtles, quarry,etc.? BanItem allows you to ban any item of your choice! Add it to the blacklist which will prevent players to use the item! This plugin is best use for Tekkit or other mod packs server as it can ban items that have bugs, items that can grief houses even though they are protected and also allow owners to unban some items for different ranks!

UpdateChecker: false
Installing plugin:
- Download the plugin, install it on the server by unzipping the zip file and then move banitem.jar file into your plugins folder.
- Restart the server .
Adding ban item to ban list:
In game:
- /banitem add <reason> ( use this command when you're holding the item u wish to ban ). This is the most simplest way to add the item you wish to ban in the list.
On config:
- Navigate to banitem folder in your plugins folder.
- Open config.yml.
- Look at 'default-config.yml' for reference of how to add ban item into the config.
- After adding your list of ban items, just type /banitem reload on the server.(or if the server is off, just start it up)
- You're set!
Example for 3:
- - '5:-1:Wood is just awesome' [ -1 refers to all the numbers].
- - '35:6:No touching this wool'.

@yanniclord
I haven't been ignoring the comments guys! I have fixed the bugs on v 2.6 ! And uploaded v2.7 but it have not been approved by bukkit mods! Pm me if u want a download of it. (at your own risk)
Good im getting ignored here, i got big problems, and you are having fun here, good support :(
@Arton123
I think the events for mods are from mcpc+ as they act like bukkit but for mods :D
Ok so, it doesnt work at all, once i add something to the blacklist, the items dont get confiscated from people, and if it works, that is rare, but if, then after reboot, it stops working, so all banned stuff can be made again. Please fix, its the only plugin that can do such.
Edit: I need it fixed QUICKLY, people figured out it stopped working, PLEASE. Ok summary: Items DONT get confiscated, it doesnt ban items, after item is banned, and server even restarted, they STILL can use it and throw it out and pick it up again. Please FIX it quick.
Edit 2: I noticed, most of the plugin worked at the 1.6.4 version, after update to 1.7.2, nothing worked anymore, items dont get confiscated, nor banned, even if i do /banitem add (id) ; instead of /banitem add all (id). None of them work.
Edit 3 :P : I know i repeated myself sometimes, i just put all my comments together, instead of having multiple comments.
@Razorskills
The problem with mods is that they make their own events, or that is what I think I heard, like bukkit has it own events firede like enderman.take.block while the mod has lazer.doom.that.area, and bukkit simply doesn't have these events, or atleast that is what I remember i have been told last time i asked a dev.
And i love your idea, about having a option to what the item could change into, or just get dropped might be best for both user and staff that the items get de-crafted/un-crafted.
Hahaha wow confusion. I hope I can clarify here:
@Nikkolo94 here:
Problem 1: The Dirt idea was that since players can get items from some of the mod's crafting tables like flan's mods Modern Weapons boxes. And they get stuck in everyone's inventory. and if it is banned it cannot be moved, or removed unless it is in your hand and you press q. And if its not on your items bar, then you cannot move it.
the fix would be either, fix it so it is not possible to obtain the items, to auto drop the items out of players inventory when they try pick them up(with mouse), or turn it into an item that is not banned such as dirt so that a player can remove,sell do whatever with it and does not require an admin to fix their inventory.
------edit: It might even be cool to be able to define specifically per item what it will switch the item for (more than one item) like say someone made a gun that required gunpowder, iron and some wood, then they tried to move it in their inventory, it would then turn itself into the items you defined for that id and in that case it could be the recipe for the item so that players do not lose anything from not knowing it was banned.. This would only be needed for the items that are obtainable from a mod's added crafting table that follows different rules.
------@Xxanujenkins Actually.. I asked them to support it and well read below:
Problem 2: Basically World Guard is a plugin that protects areas from being destroyed/built in. It does not protect for things that aren't players such as the beam of a mining laser. Technically it is not the player destroying the area, it is the beam.
It is similar to an enderman in a way, it could destroy protected areas, and since it is vanilla they made a patch that blocked them from doing that. Now a mining laser is a mod, and I don't know how many times I have heard world guard say 'we do not support mods' when all they had to do was add a config for item use blocking. and it would satisfy both the mods side, and maybe the vanilla side of minecraft could use it too. But since they seem to have a stick somewhere.. Us mod users need outside help and that is why I suggested a way to ban an item in an area defined in world guard or any other way someone sees fit. All I know is this plugin works awesome and if it could do that. Then so many problems would be gone, and it would be useful for so many other unknown things people could be creative, but they might want the player to be able to use the item at their home and not have a global ban.
@Nikkolo94
o_o whyyy? did you even look the comments through before answering one of my reply's? :P
@Arton123
Dirt? Inventory? Im Talking about worldguard
@Nikkolo94
"Please if you have to say something, have an argument that supports your opinion"
I still do not see, why this function shoulden't be here, the banitem plugin is not even worth having, if people still can get the items in their inv, and use them.. especially on modded serveres the only thing keeping people from using items is that, if it happens to get in their inv it gets replaced by example dirt, and like Razorskills says, banned items get stuck in playeres inv.
I love this plugin, it works great, but sometimes it is totally useless, beacuse people can bug items into their inv, and cannot get away with it, or can use it to example "Grief"
@Arton123
About world guard support :)
@Nikkolo94
What are you talking about? making a banned item into another item if it happens to get in someones inv? what does that have to do with the plugin "WorldGuard" ??
<<reply 1964788>>
This is banitem not world guard addon
@Razorskills
I have recommended this thing serval times now, he dosen't seem to either have seen the message or like the idea. :P
@Xxanujenkins
In pretty sure item with enchant don't have different id... It is durability not enchant id
And yeah -1 is not working for me too
@busterguy, The plugin already supports that. You just have to /banitem while it is in your hand with the enchants that you don't want it to have. It will have a different item id then ones that do not. Found this out yesterday when we realized the -1 to ban all items, is not working properly.
@Razorskills, World Guard should be able to be set that other players besides op's and admins can not destroy spawn. If they can still destroy them with a mining laser that is a WG/IC issue, and there is nothing ban items can do.
Any chance you can add support for more specif items. For example a sword with certain enchantments not just all swords.
