Ubuntu 11.10 Server, All needed packages installed. it worked in one of the previous versions
Craftbukkit 1.2.5-R4.0 (didnt work for previous versions back to at least 1.2.3)

Installed plugins:
Plugins (28): Minequery, WorldEdit, VoxelSniper, BattleNight, Vault, Multiverse-Core, PermissionsEx, Stargate, LogBlock, LWC, Guardian, WorldGuard, dynmap, Dynmap-WorldGuard, BukkitSpeak, AuthDB, BKCommonLib, Modifyworld, Skillz, WeatherMan, Essentials, ChatManager, EssentialsProtect, Dynmap-Essentials, EssentialsSpawn, Multiverse-Inventories, VanishNoPacket, EssentialsChat

Close and relaunch ABM to get the proper stats.

close like "kill the process"? or close like pressing 0 to "Quit ABM"? since both did not help :/

You can (and should) use 0 to exit ABM.  0 should take you back to a command prompt.

Make sure you do not start any screen sessions to run ABM inside.  ABM itself creates all the screen sessions you need to run the server.
