Armor Stand Edit
Allows players in survival to easily edit armor stand pose and attributes. I hated that there was no way to edit armor stands without using command blocks or giving players permission to use dangerous(if given to everyone) cumbersome commands. That is why I created this tool!
Features
- Easily edit armor stands with no commands
- Quick to learn
- Rotate all armorstand parts along each axis.
- Rotate the entire armorstand after it is placed.
- Open up the armorstand's inventory to place items where they wouldn't normally go. (Allows for dual wielding, banners on heads, pumpkins in had, etc.)
- Crouch+Scroll to change axis on the fly without opening the menu.
- Fine adjustment allows you to fine tune a body part's position while coarse adjustment allows you to quickly get it close to the intended position.
- Toggle show arms, invisibility, baseplate, normal/small size, and gravity.
- Move armor stands around to get them exactly where you want them.
- Copy settings of one armor stand and paste them to another.
- Survival-friendly pasting: It does not copy/paste/duplicate items unless the player is in creative mode.
- Store the copied settings in one of 9 copy slots.
- Name armor stands with name tags, just like with vanilla mobs.
- Now with colored names!
- Respects protection plugins such as Worldguard, Towny, GriefPrevention and Residence.
How to use
- Hold the editing tool in your main hand. (flint by default)
- Left/right click away from an armor stand to open menu.
- Select the labeled menu options.
- Left/Right Click the armor stand with the tool in hand to apply those options.
Tips
- Shift+scroll wheel up/down changes axis quickly
- Remeber that when rotating body parts left click rotates one direction and right clicking the armor stand rotates it the opposite way.
- Coarse adjustment rotates body parts quickly, while fine adjustment allows you fine-tune the position once it is close.
- When you copy armor stand settings, the tool automatically switches to paste mode
- Other ArmorStands getting in the way? Press the switch-items key (default F) to target a specific armorstand.
Commands
All commands are both not required and not recommended; using the editing tool is much easier than typing these commands. However, if you wish to use these commands for other plugins (eg your own chest menu GUI) you can do so.
/ase mode <mode> Sets the mode of the editing tool.
/ase axis <axis> Sets the axis used when rotating armorstand body parts
/ase adj <adjustment> Set the editing tool to rotate in large increments or small increments.
/ase slot <slot> Sets the edit tool's copy slot which will be used to either copy or paste armorstand attributes.
Permissions
asedit.basic: Allow use armorstand edit functions. If set to false it will override all other functions.
asedit.invisible: Toggle armorstand visible/invisible.
asedit.rename: Allows player to rename armorstands with nametag (use & for colored names)
Configuration
coarse: The number of rotations (and clicks) it takes to rotate a body part in a full circle using coarse adjustment. Default: 12
fine: The number of rotations to come full circle using fine adjustment. Default: 120
tool: Name of the edit tool's item Material. Default: FLINT
lang: The name of the language file to use. The file should be in plugins/ArmorStandEditor/lang/. Default: en_US.yml
sendMessagesToActionBar: If true, send most plugin messages to the action bar instead of chat. Default: true

That is a very strange situation. The plugin doesn't send updates to specific players so the server should send updates to everyone equally. let me know if you get to the bottom of this.
1.12.2?
In reply to Forge_User_86414427:
You're welcome to try an old version, have a look at the files. The 1.11 should work for 1.12 but 1.13 will not.
This is impossible to use. Could you please add a way to lock the armour stands position? It would be really helpful.
In reply to thhytyhtrjyjyjjj:
I welcome feedback but "impossible to use" isn't specific enough to for me to know what you think should be changed.
I don't plan on adding a feature that would lock armorstands, I feel like that's out of the scope of an editor.
Good evening, if it works in 1.15.2 why the other ranks which do not have the perm can modify and why when have modified the armor holder the other player do not see it changing it remains in the vanilla mode but I see it modifying
Hey does this work for 1.15 yet or is it still not working?
i would really love to have it on my server for some creative work
In reply to squeakynoodles:
yeah it works on 1.15+
Hello,
at first, you did a great job! My users and I love your plugin. It ensures, that there are no limits to creativity!
I can confirm this bug with invisible armor stands. And I have 2 suggestions for your plugin ;)
Can you add an option for a super-fine Adjustment (for example in 0.001 steps)? Often there is a lack of a little extra attitude to make the armor stand perfect (especially in the event of interference with nested items). I often use the summon-command for this, but my user don't have this option.
And the second option (the reason while i've got 2 armor-stand-plugins), can you also add 2 buttons for "invulnerable" and "lock equipment", please?
Thx a lot for reading these proposals.
best regards
Chris

I can't reproduce the issue with invisible armor stands. Invisible armorstands can be both right and left clicked with the editing tool (including with placement mode).
I'll think about adding a super fine adjustment option. It's not something anyone's asked for before.
Invulnerability is not likely to ever be added because it interrupts the ability to interact with the armor stand with the editing tool.
Disableslots is something I've been meaning to add but keep forgetting because protection plugins usually handle this already :P
In reply to rypofalem:
Since the last spigot-update the bug doesn't exist anymore. it was apperently on spigot.
okay, i understand the point with the invulnerability.
But disableslots wöuld be great because on a public-server the staff often had build-rights at the spawn. One false click and the admin or builder had a new mission ;)
Thx for your awnser about the future option "super-fine" :)
Found one bug: When the armor stand is invisible, you can not left click to reverse the placement position. (ex: While the armor stand was invisible, I couldn't left click to move it up on the Y axis, but could move it down with right click. When I turned off the invisibility, I could move it up and down again. Hope this gets fixed, but overall a really great and thorough plugin. Good job!

I have been trying to get toolData to work but i cant figure out the syntax/formatting for it. Can you provide me an example, for instance if the tool is named.
I have tried so many formats;
toolData: name: example
toolData: name: "example"
toolData: name: 'example'
toolData: 'name: example'
toolData: 'name: "example"'
and with durability in the same formats
Thanks, Rootbeerdrinker1.

Tool data is just a number. It's the damage value of the item. It was more useful before the flattening when the damage value was used to differentiate between variations of the same block but that's no longer the case.
Hi, the plugin is perfect, but i have a problem. How to prevent players from using armor stand editor? They have no permissions but can still use it. Thank you for answer <3
In reply to Forge_User_45126442:
By default everyone has the "asedit.basic" perm. This is so the plugin works out of the box. Set this node to false for anyone you don't want to use the plugin.
There is no 1.12.2, i thought it was 1.8-1.14
In reply to devomaa:
The version numbers are just the version it was built for. I never built a version during the 1.12 era because it wasn't needed. The latest 1.11 labeled version works in 1.12 without issue.
I have already stated this as an issue but i just want to make sure you get this, if you could make the body bend at the hips to give the effect that its bending over or falling back or flying like super man would be great. i use 1.13.2 by the way mainly because most servers use via version to tackle having to update allot plus i use shaders. not sure if that information helps
