Source Code
Latest version: Anti-Enchant 1.5 - January 4, 2015
Installing the plugin
Simply drag and drop the '.jar' file into your 'plugins' directory for your server. Reload (restart) your server, and the plugin should be installed, along with a folder that just appeared, which contains the configuration!
Configuring the plugin
There will be number of lines for each item in the game. Simply tag the item you wish to make not enchantable with 'false', and proceed to save the config, enter the game and use /ae_reload command.
Commands
- '/ae_reload' - reloads the plugin configuration file after it has been modified
- '/ae_unenchant' - disenchants the item the player's currently holding in their hands
- '/ae_table' - spawns an enchanting table with some bookshelves around the player
Permissions
- 'ae.enchantbooks' - allows the group (player) to enchant books
- 'ae.admin' - access to all of the commands of the plugin and access to all enchants
- 'ae.repair' - allows the player (the group) to repair items by anvil
- 'ae.unenchant' - permission to 'ae_unenchant'
Is there a reason why you can only set the max level enchantments on weapon enchantments and not armor?
@ircopdd
I've got no idea why o_o
i runing
bukkit #3078 1.7.9-R0.1
delete config
set Enable Books: true
but no work for me
@ircopdd
You only use /ae_reload Not reboot nor reload. I have no idea why it isn't working for you, I've tested the latest build myself, and it works perfectly... Perhaps reset the config, or download the latest bukkit and plugin version?
i use
bukkit
#3020 1.7.2-R0.3 Beta Build
Use /ae_reload
reboot server
or reload
no work for me

@ircopdd
You don't reboot the server, nor reload. Use /ae_reload only when changing config!
i set Enable Books: true
reboot server
not use /ae_reload
this is bug......
I have just looked at the code, and double tested it, and it seems to work in the latest version... I don't know why it isn't working for you...? Let me explain how it works;
Enable Books: true - books don't get removed
Enable Books: false - books get removed
Did you use /ae_reload after modifying the config?
@ircopdd
Yeah, I was working on that, but didn't succeed, as I hadn't had much time over the weeks. Today I'll try to fix it, aswell as my other plugin, EBDL.
hi Deaththinius
can you fix "Enable Books"
I do not want auto Removed Enchanted Book
thanks
@ftfc
I'll look into it.
@Deaththinius
Still having same issue, "Enable Books" is set to true, that is the only line that refers to books. Players can enchant the book but then when the enchanted book goes into inventory, a line in red in the chat comes up and says "Removed Enchanted Book" and the book is removed from inventory.
@ftfc
Nonono, you're doing it wrong xP, basically, that permission is to be able to enchant normal books, but to stop players from losing them, simply go to the config and find the line that says 'Enchanted Books' and put the opposite of what it is, currently.
@doomlordking
Yup! You can read all about it on the main page.
Does this plugin block enchants from the enchanting table? If bob enchants a swords i can block him from getting knockback, etc?
@Deaththinius
Thanks for the update, I still get the chat message 'Removed Enchanted Book' after enchanting a book, with or without the ae.enchantbooks permission. :)
-Edit I may be running the wrong version of craftbukkit 1.7.2, I'll check and confirm that tomorrow, I imagine that might be a possible cause of my issue?
Coming in 1.4: Choose max. level for each enchantment :)!!
@ftfc fixed the issue :).
@ftfc
I'll take a look at it today :).
@Deaththinius Thanks for the feedback :) I know I could always do that but your plugin seems like it would allow books to be enchantable still and have other items disabled which is exactly what I want.
I can have items enchants disabled except for books, the book can be enchanted but then a message appears 'Removed Enchanted Book' or something similar and the book is deleted from inventory.
Thanks again, FTFC.
