StickyProtection

StickyProtection for StickyLocks for Bukkit

StickyLocks is a plugin which lets you lock blocks such as doors or chests using a stick. It does not protect those items against being broken, and this is by design.

StickyProtection is a companion plugin for StickyLocks. It protects blocks that have been locked by StickyLocks, and in the case of items which depend on another block (such as a button on a wall, or a door on a floor) it protects those other blocks, too. There are limits - if you build a door on sand, lock it, then punch out the block below the sand, the sand will fall and the door will break. This plugin only checks the immediate blocks - it's too costly to recursively check the entire Minecraft world for chain reactions that can damage locked property. This is better than nothing, though.

Future developments will include trying to prevent piston breaking, blast and fire damage.

This plugin depends on StickyLocks, and won't load without it.

Installation

Place the .jar file into your plugins folder (where you should already have placed the StickyLocks .jar file) and start your Bukkit server (or load it with any plugin manager).

Permissions

  • stickylocks.ghost permits a user to break blocks which have been locked by other players. This permission is actually checked by StickyLocks.

Commands

There are no commands in this plugin. To disable it, unload it with a plugin manager, or remove the .jar file and restart your server.

Configuration

There is no configuration - this plugin talks dynamically to StickyLocks to learn everything it needs to know.
