CustomText

CustomText Banner

Create custom text-based commands instantly!

Features

  • Very lightweight, no dependencies and little storage space used.
  • Compiled against 1.14.4 Spigot for maximum compatability!
  • Create commands in-game, or via config with ease.
  • If you need to create text commands like /discord, /info, /website or others, this plugin is for you!
  • Automatically detects command conflicts and warns you in the console - no need to check!

Usage

I designed this plugin with ease-of-use in mind. With a single command, you can add, remove, list and reload configs:

  • /customtext add etc.
  • /customtext remove
  • /customtext reload
  • /customtext list
  • You can use /ct and /ctext instead, too!

Due to the message length limit in Minecraft, you may find it better to add them through the config - which is just as easy:

example-command:
  - 'This is an example command!'
  - 'You can use colour codes, like &ethis&f!'
  - 'You may add as many lines as you need.'

The above example is included in the plugin's config if you need help to create your own. Make sure you run /customtext reload to see the changes!

After creating your custom commands, players can then run them in-game to receive the lines of text as chat messages. For example, if you created a command '/discord', and then typed /discord in game, it would send you the messages.

Customisation

This plugin is highly customisable - all the plugin's messages can be changed to suit your language or preferences. Simply change the messages in messages.yml and run /customtext reload!

Colour Codes & PlaceholderAPI

You can use any colour codes in the messages that you want to send, for example &a for green, &b for blue. For a full list of colours you can use, click here!

All messages that are sent will be automatically parsed for PlaceholderAPI placeholders, all you need to do is have PlaceholderAPI on the server. If you don't know what PlaceholderAPI is, and want to find out more, click here!

Examples

Example usage with one of my plugins, ChatColor, using PlaceholderAPI:

/customtext add colour " &6&l> &eYour chat colour is: &r%cc_full_color_text%"

After running /colour in-game, this output is given:

This is just a single example of what you could do!
