System overview
There are two software elements, a standard plugin (udpClientLED) that runs on the Minecraft server and a Java application (udpServerLED) that runs on a Raspberry Pi. Full details of both are linked to in the wiki including the hardware build.
A common application is to run the server somewhere hidden (garage or loft) and have the Raspberry Pi behind a TV with just the LEDs showing.
This plugin is the successor to piLED which has the same hardware and functionality but runs both elements on the RaspberryPi.
