Overview
VoxelGuest 5 VoxelGuest is a powerful user management and server administration suite that functions as a conglomerate of modules, each with a distinct purpose.
Key features include:
- Permissions support for Vault
- Comprehensive region and region protection system which provides all sorts of region-based control, from blacklisting items and blocks to toggling any kinds of damage of players to controlling entity spawn and restricting player interactions
- Region snapshotting allows you to create a snapshot of a region and roll back to this snapshot whenever you want (Version 5.2)
- Vanish and FakeQuit, in case you have a rowdy crowd of members online and you need to check in
- Essential commands
- Lag meters, CPU monitors, and memory specifications in-game
- Dealing of rowdy players e.g. gagging, kicking, and banning functions.
- Statsd - Graphite - Grafana integration, because everyone loves statistics! (Version 5.2)
About us
The Voxel Box is a community-driven creative play server that consistently push the limits of what the Minecraft client and server can deliver to builders and to players. Over the past year and a half, it's blossomed into a place where some very talented people have built some of the most impressive Minecraft-related structures, software and concepts.
Development Builds
Development builds can be obtained from our continuous integration server. Please note that these builds are automatically generated and must be considered unstable. It is possible that upgrading to a development build may damage VoxelGuest's persistence database. These builds have not been approved by the BukkitDev staff. Do not use these builds on production servers.
Metrics
We are using MCStats to collect VoxelGuest usage data. Information being sent to their servers includes but is not limited to:
- A unique identifier
- The version of Java you are running
- OS name and version, system architecture and number of CPU cores
- The version and kind of the server you are using
- The authentication mode of your server (online, offline)
- The version of VoxelGuest and Metrics you are running
- The country your server is in
- The number of players online
- Enabled VoxelGuest modules
- The number of banned and muted people
Usage statistics collection can be disabled in future versions of VoxelGuest.

I tried installing on 1.4.6 and had issues. Will this be updated? I am trying to find a good solution for greylist on our server!
So I'm assuming that this does not support GroupManager or the Vault permissions hook? :*(
Hey guys. So I'm considering removing the Regions module for a while until I make a better version. If that does happen, I do recommend WorldGuard for your regions. Furthermore, I'm going to make /who part of a module soon! I'll keep you posted.
@ablac
After you stop the server, go into ./plugins/VoxelUpdate/ and delete the "Downloads" folder. I do NOT recommend using VoxelUpdate at this time. There are some fixes on the way that will (hopefully) make VU better.
@ablac
Don't use /reload to remove these plugins. If you stop the server and remove it will be removed.
@Uirebaeron
This is all documented on the voxelwiki. Put 'disable-module=true' in the offlinemode modules config file. (while your server is off) Can I ask why you want to disable it?
Help I want to disable Offline Mode Module but keep the rest... What is the setting for it?
UGH... Why are Voxel Plugins SO freaking hard to remove :/ Deleted VoxelGuest reloaded the server and it came back... Had to delete it 5 times for it to finally be removed...
@DemonLamma
You can check out the documentation on the plugin's wiki page (on voxelwiki.com). However, it can be quite complicated to set up because there are so many options to configure. I advise making a test server with some close friends and test each setting and configuration till you reach your desired setup.
As for visitor days, this is achieved with the Greylist module and the module's Exploration Mode. To set up the module correctly: 1.) Enable the Greylist module. Currently, I advise NOT using the Regions module as it is VERY complicated to set up. 2.) Give your permanent members' group (i.e. non-guests) the permissions "voxelguest.greylist.bypass". 3.) To enable Exploration Mode, use the command "/explorationmode" to toggle your server's Exploration Mode.
Is there a proper tutorial for people like me who have NO IDEA how to set this up, I've been using a whitelist.txt for a long time but I'd like to set it up for tourists to come explore our creations.
I host a cracked/offline mode minecraft server. I was wondering if this plugin works for cracked minecraft users because when i tried it myself i was frozen and couldn't move.
@Nightsaver341341
This is because in the voxel guest plugin folder under modules you have cubicles turned off. Look in the plugin folder under modules then cubicle coordinator and turn cubicles: true
@Goblom Possibly not. There are many better permission plugins out there, and they are coded much better(aka, they use less memory), than GroupManager.
@amsedal You can't disable /who altogether, but if you don't want other people to use it, just don't give them the permission node.
@anonymous000 The VoxelWiki page for VoxelGuest has partial documentation for the plugin, if you'd like to check there.
When I type /cubicle it just gives back the Unhandled command: Cublicle
I can't work this out at all.. Is there a guide anywhere?
hmm, how do I disable the /who ?
will this ever be compatible with Essentials Group Manager permissions?
Hey there. Having a bug issue here: every 2 seconds I'm getting "[WARNING] [VoxelUpdate] Could not compare versions due to a letter character in version for plugin "VoxelGuest"
any idea what to do? It's spamming up my console. Thanks!
Hi, how will the future be for this plugin? As I hear psanker has quit and Razor is taking a break, are there any developer maintaining the project? Would be nice to know for the future of both the Voxel Box and my own server :)
A nice video would be nice like the others for your plugin.
