In the video, the double quotes appear to shape themselves into some format after being typed in (they switch apostrophes, and some appear in different parts of the message.) This doesn't happen automatically for textedit on my mac, so the messages have quotes at the beginning and end. I don't want those there, so is there a certain program I should use that will fix this for me?

If you have a good permission plugin, create a custom command that players can execute (or use the one built into the permission plugin yourself, not let players to use it) to create a negative permission node for that broadcast.

I use group-manager, and for this explanation, ill have an announcement called "ShutUp". In side that announcement, make the permission "group.shutup", and I'll give it to everyone that I wan to see it. After creating a custom command, I will have command that allows a person to do /stfu. Then, console will run "manudelp [playername] -group.shutup". This will remove the announcements from them. Or, if they complain to me, I could do /manudelp [playername] -group.shutup.

Are you still going to update this plugin anymore, or have you moved on?

    Just use AutoAnnouncer

In 1.7.4, /tm reload doesn't work, it just stops it from working (until the server next restarts). This is a handy and awesome essential for any server, however. Nothing quite compares to the perfect simplicity of this awesome white-label plugin.

Edit: I owe an apology, the reload command works just fine- I happened to be in a (brand new) world I was setting up which didn't yet have permissions to see the broadcasts. Apologies for the confusion!

It's funny you mention that, that's exactly the reason I came to this page today. I'd love for there to be a command so people could ignore the ticker. In fact, I need it so badly I'll have to switch plugins just for that feature if I can't find it here.

Please, add an ignore option for the ticker! It's useful to noobies, but if you've played on the server a long time then it gets rather annoying and would be really nice to silence it for the elder players.

How about a command to shut timed messages up?

Some players say "I read them all and they are annoying" but I can't turn them off for that player neither can they.

A command like /tm ignore would be great.

Also does timedmessage respect the worldguard flag "receive-chat: deny"? because I see messages in these regions :/
