Omega Treasure
Omega Treasure
Purpose
Have you ever wondered what it would be like if mobs in Minecraft were just waiting to drop epic, amazing, slightly overpowered weapons at every turn? No? Well I have, and that's why I created Omega Treasure!
Introduction
Omega Treasure adds fully random weapon drops from mobs and bosses, as well as 24 unique Legendary weapons with their own non-vanilla combat abilities. These weapons can only be obtained rarely by killing mobs and bosses, and some of them have specific requirements to be dropped.
Legendary Weapons
Here, in the Hall of Legendarity, you'll find one of each Legendary Weapon from Omega Treasure, complete with description and how to obtain them. Venture on to discover the secrets of our most lethal combat devices!
Blacksteel Blade
Legend
A few decades ago, during the peak of the Crelmite empire, a powerful resistance group calling themselves the Black Skull formed to battle the all-powerful Crelmite army, which was rapidly conquering the known realms. Their power lied in their strange enchanted weapons, which seemed to sap the energy from their foes, leaving them unable to defend against their imminent death. After the sudden decline of the Crelmites, the Black Skull faded into obscurity. Though their enchanting techniques are still not fully understood, weapons made of Blacksteel, as it has come to be called, can be found frequently deep underground, where the Black Skull preferred to work.
Unique Qualities
Blacksteel Blades contain deathly magic that inflicts weakness, slowness, and inability to jump upon enemies for a few seconds, giving the wielder a definitive advantage in combat. These effects are only quite temporary, but constantly attacking with this blade will keep your enemy weakened up until they die.
Acquisition
These swords have only ever been found on undead creatures deep underground. Some have been found nearly as high as 50 meters above bedrock, but most finds occur far below that.
Toxic Spine
Legend
The tribal warriors of the Gorlahk Nation are well-known for concocting deadly poisons from the foul plant and animal life in the jungles they inhabit. These toxins are then frequently used to coat crude spears of sugar cane bound in thread, turning a shoddy improvised weapon into an enemy's worst nightmare. Though Gorlahk contact with the outside world is almost nonexistent, their weapons can still occasionally be found.
Unique Qualities
Though it doesn't inflict much direct damage at all, the Toxic Spine poisons its target with every hit, assuming that target is susceptible to poison. This can be quite conducive to hit-and-run tactics, as well as swapping out for a more powerful weapon on occasion to add poison, then switching back for more direct damage.
Acquisition
The best way to acquire a Toxic Spine is to kill slimes and search for them. These weapons are often found stuck to slimes, who spend their time near jungles and marshes like the Gorlahk. Most Toxic Spines that don't get stuck to a slime will become buried and decay in usability quite rapidly due to their organic nature.
Vulcan Edge
Legend
Deep in the nether, beyond the reach of most humans, once resided the mighty Vulcan alliance. This powerful faction of zombie pigmen, ghasts, blazes, and other sentient beings of the nether was formed in response to the Crelmites' standard "conquer everything" approach to foreign policy, and was quite successful in driving them out, to the point where many other rebellions chose to join them in their fiery homeworld, where they would certainly be safe from harm. The Crelmite were none too pleased with being beaten, and threatened endless attacks on the nether, carrying through with many of them. But any capture they would make was reversed in hours when the Vulcan warriors rose up from the lava and the flames, striking down any outsiders they could see with terrifying lethality. Of course, this wouldn't be possible without the Vulcans' infamously high-quality weaponry. The most common piece of Vulcan weaponry that can be found to this day is the Vulcan Edge, a metal axe infused with powerful flame enchantments. Its ability to ignite any enemy, even without the presence of traditional weapon enchantments, as well as its proud history with the Vulcan, make it a coveted tool by revolutionaries everywhere. Though the Vulcan alliance has gradually dissolved over the years, its weapons still see combat throughout the nether.
Unique Qualities
The Vulcan Edge's innate nether enchantments allow it to ignite enemies for a few seconds, dealing continuous damage. This effect stacks with traditional enchantments, and can add up to a devastating weapon of war.
Acquisition
The Vulcan Edge can be found still in use by a few nether residents to this day, though few wish to give up their weapons even decades after the war. This is the only known method of obtaining a Vulcan Edge.
Reaper Sickle
Legend
One of the rarest and most ancient of weapons known to man, the Reaper Sickle was in common use almost 600 years ago by the Order of the Reaper, a deadly cult who believed that undeath was the highest of forms, and thus attempted to kill and subsequently revive anybody and anything they could. The cult's legacy has lived on in the nightmares of men ever since, but its preferred weapon, the Reaper Sickle, is much less prevalent. Its ability to mark an enemy for death makes it a highly feared weapon, enough to cause even the most decorated of knights and warriors to submit.
Unique Qualities
The reason that so many adventurers seek out the Reaper Sickle is for its devastating ability to mark enemies for death, inflicting a long lasting withering effect that will slowly kill all but the hardiest of enemies.
Acquisition
Reaper Sickles cannot reasonably be found in any ruins or remnants of past civilizations, due to their coveted nature. The only way to acquire one is to slay a mighty beast, in hopes that its treasure will contain one after it has died.
Tartrathian Horror
Legend
An ancient and poorly translated myth from before recorded history states that if one allows one's mind to be flexible enough, a strange energy can be manipulated, to the point that the rocks themselves bend to your will. Though it is widely regarded as mysticism, this did not stop the Tartrathians from trying to recreate such a power. Their research and magical tinkering reduced their homeland to a battered husk, crawling with horrors that not even the Crelmites felt were worth risking to conquer. Among these forsaken lands stand the corpses of those who took in that strange energy the most, alive, rotted to the bone, waiting. Waiting for nothing. Interactions with the undead residents of Tartrath are few, and nobody has ever gotten a reaction from them of any sort. Tartrathian weaponry has long since been purged from the world, except to those that have kept the rare surviving specimens safe. The mystical weapons of Tartrath are said to indeed make the rocks themselves bend to your will, summoning horrid creatures that live only to consume, leaving desolation in their wake. Few are foolish enough to wield these weapons, but becoming skilled with them can be an invaluable asset in battle.
Unique Qualities
The Tartrathian Horror may appear to be a typical iron broadsword, but its unseen curse brings forth horrors upon your enemies whenever slashed through their flesh. These encounters rarely end well, for either the victim or the weapon's wielder.
Acquisition
As most Tartrathian weapons were destroyed years ago, they may only be found in the treasure troves of powerful creatures.
Ethereal Hammer
Legend
Centuries ago, there were a mysterious race of people who seemed to worship the sky itself. Not the sun, or the moon or stars, but the vast emptiness that they knew as the Ether. Their technology focused mainly on getting closer to this Ether, as they built large floating temples and devices to assist transit among the clouds. Among these devices was a weapon of defense used by their military presence on the ground to protect these temples. Years went by, the temples decayed, and the followers spread out and formed ground-based societies of their own, and the sky people were no more. Temples were stripped bare of artifacts by treasure seekers, and the remaining unsightly leftovers demolished by the Crelmites. All that remains to this day are the weapons. It is said that the only way to acquire one of these legendary tools is to seek out combat in the Ether, and somehow this prophecy seems to remain true, as the only known Ethereal Hammers in existence were discovered being wielded by creatures at high altitudes.
Unique Qualities
The Ethereal Hammer uses magical enchantments that have been lost for centuries to counter gravity and send enemies flying upward, only to crash back down when the magic dissipates.
Acquisition
Ethereal Hammers can only be obtained by battling monsters at high altitudes. Most of them are found in the 200 meter and above height range, but some have been found as low as 130 meters.
Void's Bane
Legend
Though many people do not know it,the strange and cosmic dimension known as the End has a long, rich history. The endermen, residents of this forgotten world, are a highly intelligent race and though the End is a barren wasteland in modern times, it once contained cities and gave birth to some of the most advanced technology that has ever existed. Vast civilizations lived in peace, protected from outside harm by powerful dragons, highly advanced creatures that the endermen had befriended. Though humans throughout the overworld prefer to conquer and exploit their fellow living creatures, the endermen harmonized with the other denizens of their realm and formed greater societies than we will likely ever know. This would unfortunately not last, as humans also proved adept at creating new technologies, and by studying endermen during their trips to the overworld, devised an efficient method of interdimensional transport that allowed easy access to the End. Once human conquest found this world, its fate was sealed. Though the endermen and their dragon companions fought valiantly, the humans overwhelmed them, killing the dragons for their precious resources. Despite the fact that the endermen themselves were vastly outnumbered by the humans, they had vastly superior technology on their side. The endermen quickly developed new devices to help counter the threat of human encroachment, but the one that is well-known for bringing the human treachery to an end is a delicate antenna-like crystalline structure, which acted as healing beacons to the End's dragons and gave them the strength to crush the human inquisition over time. End civilization, however, would never fully recover. The few remaining live citizens of the End were scattered, many of whom wander the overworld, seeking revenge or simply living out their lives in relative secrecy. The endermen's technology would never be seen again, except for the rare artifact that was not destroyed by the vengeful human conquistadors. The Void's Bane, as the humans called it, is one such device, and is one of the End's few technological marvels that can still be found.
Unique Qualities
The Void's Bane is a device capable of transporting its user a sizable distance in three-dimensional space (sometimes up to 30 meters) by very briefly creating a wormhole connecting the two points. This is similar in function to the ender pearl, but doesn't need to be hurled and shattered to transport its user. It's also a bit safer than ender pearl teleportation, though humans are still not adapted to the rigors of interdimensional phasing, and so will still take a minute quantity damage from the warp.
Acquisition
Void's Bane may occasionally be found in the possession of an Enderman, but only the ones still living in the End seem to still carry these objects.
Wither's Retribution
Legend
Very little is known about the origin of the dreaded wither, and even less is known about the creation of this lethal weapon. Myth has it that the means of creating the Wither's Retribution was given to a human mage many millennia ago, and has since been lost. A more recent and well-regarded theory is that the Wither's Retribution is a bone that was torn directly from a live wither's body, still icy cold with deathly magic. One thing is certain, though, and that is that this weapon is not to be taken lightly. Able to inflict awful withering effects and even hurl projectiles, the Wither's Retribution is one of the most powerful magical weapons in existence.
Unique Qualities
The Wither's Retribution can inflict a withering effect when used to strike an enemy, as well as occasionally hurling forth a deadly wither skull when colliding with an opponent. In addition, it can launch wither skulls at a great distance, though casting these will take away some of the user's health
Acquisition
Wither's Retribution are exceedingly rare and are typically found in the possession of Withers, though it can also be found carried by skeletons in the Nether or even the Enderdragon.

xD NICE
How to change drop rates? None of my players have ever found one of the weapons
This plugin freezes up from time to time in spigot 1.8. Any chance of an update?
@tiagoratto
If I'm understanding you correctly, what seems to be happening is what we've experienced with another plugin that also gives weapons effects, and while the weapon ITSELF is not doing any damage to players/entities in the areas PVP is Disabled but instead the effects that do. As such, the effects the items are "enchanted" with have made it so people can kill others (or their pets, like horses) in a safezone with their powers, like Wither or Fire :\
We just counter it by punishing players who do "safezone" PvP, which Jailing (via Essentials) is effective due to the time you jail them for is reset if the player logs out, meaning they have to actually serve their time. :D
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- I look forward to checking out the plugin, since the above issues are of lesser concern :)
This is an awesome plugin! Any chance you could get it to work with Worldguard?
I am getting the same error as Ozelo. :(
It seems that the plugin is bypassing the Worldguard PVP protection I have in my spawn, is there any way to fix it ?
I dont know what this could be:
@nuclearmissile
Nuke! NinjaPvP is now DragonPvP! Our new ip is: DragonPVP.mcph.co
Hotfix added, takes care of some irritating class cast exceptions happening when you hit a non-living entity with a projectile.
@TryHardTroll That would likely require a lot of rewriting (depending on what exactly you mean). As it is now, you can use config to disable certain weapon types from dropping at all, and most weapons must be acquired from certain locations.
Can I recommend adding the ability to control where people can use it?
Good
This is one of the coolest plugins I've seen please continue working on it. I plan to add it to my future server :D thanks
Can you choose which world these weapons get dropped in?
@tylertran007
Thank you for the compliment, I'm glad I was able to make something that at least a few people are enjoying! :D I will try to keep it updated, college keeps me pretty busy but at the moment I don't see Bukkit updating majorly in the near future.
This is a great plugin! Very simple and something that adds a good spice to survival servers! I highly encourage all survival server to use this to give their users something to play for and fight over! PLEASE keep this plugin updated as I plan to use it for time to come! =D

Thanks, and I'll be glad to hear about any bugs you may encounter!
Looks amazing. Will use on my server.
