- Tested on CraftBukkit 1.4.7-R1.0 and partially on 1.5.1-R0.2 (no major issues found)
- Supports LWC and Lockette chest protection
- You can push and pull blocks from chests, double chests, furnaces, and dispensers.
- You can only push and pull blocks, not items or vehicles.
- When pushing a block into a container, the piston needs to be right up against the block to push, and the block being pushed needs to be right up against the chest. No spaces between any of the blocks.
- You can configure which blocks you want to be able to push into containers in the 'config.yml' file in the 'plugins/MekChest' folder. There is a pretty good list by default though.
Narrowtux's PistonChest was the inspiration for this plugin. Originally I was going to try to get PistonChest to be loaded on a MineCraft server I play on, but found out it was soon going to be out of date with the Bukkit 1.2 release. So I set off to make my own plugin that did a similar thing.
Install Instructions
Copy MekChest.jar into your 'plugins/' directory.
Configuration
To disable database autosaves, set autosave to 0 in config.yml.
To configure what type of blocks you want to be able to push into chests add block typeIds to the 'nonpushableblocks' list.
Permissions
*mekchest.*
*mekchest.usage - Allows you to use /mekchest command
*mekchest.override - Allows you around piston protections

Posted Jan 26, 2013It would be really nice if you could update your plugin. It doesn't work correctly with Beta 1.4.7-R0.1 I can't press blocks into my furnace.

Posted Aug 28, 2012great man, checked 3 other plugins, all of them were really buggy. One little thing: If you use lwc, and didn't set it in the config, the piston stucks if it tries to get small again after it pushed a block into the chest :)

Posted May 29, 2012@ Jadwick I have been looking for one that had both crush and push into chests and so far your mod has been the most promising of all the ones I have seen. How hard would it be to get a version that incorporated crush into this or have one that works with this?

No, it doesn't crush; but it wouldn't be too hard to make a crushing plugin. I knew there were a few on the old plugin system but I don't know if any kept up to date.

Posted May 5, 2012Does this mod perchance have a crush function? The old piston plugin that was on our server did but didn't survive the update so I'm trying to find replacements. If not do you know any piston crush plugins that work with this one? Looks quite good by the way. -Thanks rcarnochan

Maybe a plugin conflict. Can I get a list of the plugins you are running?

Reports of pistons working, but nothing appearing in chests. Chests not protected by LWC.
