DyeSmear

Introduction

Have you ever placed glass, panes, or hardened clay, and then realized you wanted to use a different color? Why do you have to break the blocks and replace them, when you could just smear the dye directly on them? With DyeSmear, you can do just that, and you can even scrape coloring off too!

Features

As of v1.2.0, some duping bugs were fixed. It is recommended that you use v1.2.0 instead of v1.1.0 or v1.0.0

Smearing

  • With dye in hand, left click to select individual blocks for recoloring
  • Right click on a selected block to smear on the new color for all selected blocks
  • You will be informed of how much dye is needed to smear all the blocks
  • Old coloring will be returned if enough blocks of the same color are selected

Scraping

  • With a diamond in hand, left click to select individual blocks for decoloring
  • Right click on a selected block to scrape off the coloring for all selected blocks
  • Old coloring will be returned if enough blocks of the same color are selected

Affected Blocks

  • Glass
  • Stained Glass
  • Glass Panes
  • Stained Glass Panes
  • Hardened Clay
  • Stained Hardened Clay

Wool is intentionally not supported because there is no "undeyed" wool, while there are undeyed versions of the above supported blocks.

Dye Costs

Dye costs are determined by vanilla crafting recipes. Glass and Clay blocks have a 1:8 dye to block ratio, whereas glass Panes have a 3:64 dye to block ratio.

Commands

  • /smear cancel - clear all selected blocks

Permissions

  • DyeSmear.smear - allows players to smear and scrape
