Creativity Version 1.1.0 for CB 1.4.7
creative mode with many options

- after finishing v1.2 i will go for v2.0 with following features:
- SQLite support
- a lot of changes in code to make it faster
- maybe i will drop of creativity creative and just use the minecraft creative mode
- split things to get one main plugin with optional add-ons (not sure)
This plugin was made for even having a creative mode in minecraft, but with Minecraft 1.8 i made some major changes and added support for the built in Creative Gamemode. The plugin now helps you to manage creative and non-creative (survival) worlds and has some useful features.
You can protect different blocks, disable placing and destroying of bedrock and protect the bottom layer of the map, so players can´t fall into the void. Also the plugin features different inventories for creative / survival worlds, inventory clear and has an optional time plugin.
Nearly every feature can also be turned off.
Latest additions have been item blacklist, for items users/players can´t place and the ability to turn on ranged building, so players can build and destroy over large distance.

i hope to be done with it at the end of this month, but there will be a beta first i currently have not that much of time and i am spending most of it on rewriting this plugin so pls be patient
if any game breaking bugs occure on v1.1, i will take hands on it

sry for the late response but my wife and me moved to antother town and i there was quite a lot of work in our new flat ;)
currently i am developing v2.0 - so if there are no game breaking bugs i would not do any action on v1.x for now

Posted Feb 16, 2013HI! :) I just installed your Plugin, but it isn't working properly for me. Whenever I enter /setmode oder /setmode creativity the plugin tells me that I don't have the permission to do this. But im Operator with the "*" and "creativity.all" permission. Bukkit: 1.4.7 R1.0 Creativity: 1.1.0 Permission System: GroupManager v2.0 (2.9.6)
All the other commands expect /rb (Doesn't have any effect) work fine.
edit /rb now works fine... no idea why.

Posted Feb 10, 2013i noticed that by first time plugin is launched there will be some errors it does not affect the plugins usability - its because files need to be created
something changed in bukkit code and i have to look into it
but pls don´t be scared as the plugin works without any errors later :)

Posted Feb 5, 2013there used to be a plugin called livingbuilding which removed block placing restrictions, allowing you to place trapdoors anywhere, place torches on glass, place signs anywhere, place half doors, ect. basically it got rid of all those annoying restrictions. it hasnt been updated for ages and no longer works. i was wondering if you would ever consider trying to add similar functionality to your plugin. seems like the sort of mod which would work well with that.

in your config.yml you set "Different inventories for creative worlds: true" (default) and then you only need to set the creative world to true in CWorld.yml (e.g. "world: true")

I have had the same problem for months, the plugin author has gone and codename_b has updated this to 1.2 but it has broken something and you wont get auto changed to creative mode but it works for survival.
contact codename_b and maybe he can try fix this issue

Posted Apr 15, 2012I have a creative world set in the cworld config, but when I go in it, it doesnt change my gamemode. I have set auto change gamemode in config and it still doesnt work. But when I go through the portal back to my survival world, it shows the message to change my mode to survival. I am running Multiverse 2.x and Craftbukkit 1.2.5 RB.

I have something similar, but still different. Creativity seems to be preempting multiverse. Even though I have set creativity to not control the game mode, it still appears to be doing so (I get the game mode switched by creativity message). Multiverse is set correctly for the worlds (creative and survival in the MV configs), but it is annoying and an indication of potential problems down the road. :( I hope it's updated, creativity is the perfect plugin for what I wanted and needed.

Posted Feb 13, 2012This conflicts with Multiverse for me. When others go to a creative world they're changed to creative mode but then immediately changed back to survival.
If I give myself "creativity.*" permission node, make myself member and de-op-ed, I always get changed back to survival mode if I try to change my gamemode in a survival mode. Only OP-mode seems to make it able to change gamemode without force-changing me back to survival.
Any suggestions? A creative world with survival characters is not quite what I imagined, really.
