ClickToHold
ClickToHold
Have you ever wanted to quickly make block edits but you find it tedious to have to bring an item down to your hotbar, then fiddle with your mouse wheel/number keys to get to the right slot? No more! ClickToHold will change your held item slot to whichever slot (not block) you click on. This is not to be confused with the vanilla "pick block" function that is performed by the middle mouse button by default. This plugin works with your inventory, while the pick block function requires you to be looking at an already placed block. It's exceedingly useful for:
• Creative servers
• Building your spawn
• Just about any instance which heavily requires the inventory
To use ClickToHold, simply do /clicktohold (or /cth) while in-game. Remember to give everyone who you'd like to have it the proper permission. Please report any bugs via the ticket tracker rather than the comments so I can get to it the fastest. Thanks for downloading!
Commands
/clicktohold (or /cth) - Enables or disables Click-To-Hold mode.
Config
None!
Permissions
clicktohold.command - Enables use of the /clicktohold (or /cth) command.

It makes it so when you click an item which is in your inventory and place it into your hotbar, it becomes your held item.
I don't entirely get it... Does this add whe feature available in some modpacks where if you middleclick a block, and it's in your inventory (not your hotbar), it replaces the slot you're holding with that block? Because that would be a must-have :D

"Pick Block:
Switch to the block currently looked at, as long as it is in the quickbar. In Creative mode, if the block is not in the quickbar, replaces the currently active quickbar slot with the block currently looked at. Clicking on a mob will give that mob's spawn egg, if there is one. Clicking on a painting, minecart (with or without chest or furnace), or boat will give the corresponding item.
Hovering over an item in an inventory and clicking with the mouse wheel when in creative gives the maximum stack of that item."
None of these describe the function of the plugin.
I'm not quite sure you understand the idea here. The plugin makes it so no matter what gamemode you are in, when you move something to a slot of your hot bar, that becomes your held item slot. Middle-clicking a block will do the same thing, but that only works for placed blocks. Since this seems to be confusing you, I shall clarify this in the description. As far as I know, middle-clicking an item I your inventory doesn't make it become the held item in your hot bar...
@ColonelHedgehog
You can click your mouse wheel. Same function.
@EN7
How is that at all related to the function of the plugin? :P
There's a pick block control..
