11 - ChuckSpawnerLimiter Not working correctly

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Non of the spawners are being limited

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I stand next to a stack of spawners and they got up to 500+ mobs when they showed to be 30 per chunk and checking the 50 surrounding chucks. I changed those numbers around a lot to try to limit the mobs

What version of the product are you using?
Most current

Do you have an error log of what happened?

Please provide any additional information below.
I see in the console that the plugin is loaded, but i have no in game commands.  I am not the smartest person when it comes to plugins, I hope im not doing something stupid and wasting your time. Thanks for any help!

tbh I'm not big on comments. The v3.0.0 download should be available once the mods approve it, generally takes a week for that to happen.

I don't use any mob limiting plugins on my server at the moment so CSL is mostly in maintenance mode for the time being, I don't foresee myself adding any new features that I won't use.

Incredible! Your new config is much cleaner- the added options were very useful- and now the plugin is culling the entities like a charm! This plugin is now the best plugin for "entity cleanup!"

A few more suggestions for you- It might be wise to allow commenting directly on your bukkit page like most plugins as many people arent even aware of the "tickets" tab and just assume commenting is disabled- You'll get mroe feedback if you do this.

Also, since this plugin does work well for 1.7, and again many players only want a plugin that says 1.7- even if not fully tested, because they feel the plugin is active, you should post this version you uploaded on the main page! You will get more people using it

Finally, since Monster Apocalypse is way huge, and MobManager is the only other plugin that I've found that sawns creatures the way it does- You should add a feature to "spawnmobs" along the cleanup of mobs- adding world specific functionality for spawning mobs, spawn mobs near players, monster type and maybe even custom monster properties. This might be a stretch- but if you added this your plugin would be better than Monster Apocalypse, MobManager,Nolagg and a few others combined since your plugin is now the only one that effectively despawns mobs in 1.7!

Keep up the great work! :D 5 diamonds!

I've uploaded the rewrite, you can find it here.

It has an option to periodically check chunks when they're loaded. By default it happens once every 5 minutes, do note if you have lots of players on your server there's lots of chunks loaded, don't set the timer too low.

edit: also, the config has changed. You should delete/rename your existing config and let it generate a new one.

While I'm unfamiliar with Monster Apocalypse, it might not trigger the entity spawned event CSL watches for. I've been rewriting CSL to include a periodic scan of loaded chunks but didn't get around to submitting it. I'll see if I can get it working and upload it to the site.

CraftBukkit version git-Spigot-1225 (MC: 1.7.2) (Implementing API version 1.7.2-R0.3-SNAPSHOT)

I feel like its worth mentioning that the monsters are being spawned with "Monster Apocalypse" I set the hard cap on their plugin to only 10 monsters and it still keeps spawning- I log in to see 3000 mobs within a 10 block radius. So far no plugin seems to be able to simply "scan and remove if more than X" yet the /butcher command can kill them all so its not like the mobs are a "invincible" or "different" type- I realize the way they were spawned is logged- but I just want a plugin that ignores all these "features" and limits them no matter how they were spawned

Can you post your config.yml. I just tested the plugin and it was working for me.

Also, what version of bukkit are you using?

I know this is probably super old and wont get answered- But it seems this plugin doesnt work? I have it set to only allow 20 monsters per chunk and even hard limit individual mobs to 10 per chunk- enabled it on the right world, im still getting insane amounts of mobs spawning
