Bountys
Bounties
This plugin allows players to give rewards to someone who kills a selected player!
Do you get trolled by someone and killed? Then just put a bounty on them and everyone will chase him to get the reward!
You can put any amount of bounty on them.
All compasses will point at the nearest player with a bounty so they are easy to track.
This plugin is bug free, it has been tested by a lot of players!
You can't escape the bounty and it will only be removed when you get killed by a player.
That player will receive a reward the bounty was set for.
This plugin requires Vault:
http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/vault/
Commands
- /bounty <Playername> <amount> - This sets a bounty on someone - no permission as of yet.
- /bountycheck <Playername> - Gets if a player has bounty on their heads and how much they are worth dead!
To-Do:
- Add support for factions so that they can't kill each other to get rid of the bounty.
- Leave suggestions down bellow!
This plugin has an Auto-Updater, so when a new version is available, it'll be downloaded for you to use.

Great Plugins,come with a great server :)
@lawhit
Well it isn't for any of my players nor me
@farkros
It already does give money to the players.
Is it gonna be updated to give money when killing the player? if not then i'll just find another plugin haha, it totally defeats the purpose of placing money on them.

This would be nice if it actually gave you money when u killed the player with the bounty!
would be nice if there is a /bounty list or /bounty top5, or allow us to put them on signs. Thank
Are you planning on pushing the plugin to github? I'd be more than willing to help you fix the conversion errors.
@lawhit
Fantastic. Thanks
@Flynnftw
You have to wait till approval, this is why i hate bukkitdev it takes like 3 days to approve your file. they manually go trough EVERY line of code & btw if you havent seen it already. this plugin will automaticly download the latest update on server reload/start so you can check this page till its updated in the list and it says bountys v1.3 then reload ur server!
lowr is one of Medieval Lords' long-time players. He's got some good insight. Where/how can we download the update you were speaking of, lawhit, or was the current file updated?
Exactly, the reason "/bounty check jack" was causing crashes for flynn is because of the conversion errors.
It recognises the /bounty command. It then recognises that the player to add the bounty to is called "check".
So now it goes and finds "check" to add the bounty (or however the code works). Next step is for you to get the amount to add to the bounty. So it looks at the 2nd argument, "jack". It converts "jack" to an integer to add to the bounty...*crash*. And that's why flynn was getting crashes, because it was trying to turn the word "jack" into a number.
@lowr
bounty check jack isnt a command in v1.2 i added it in v1.3 tho and i know there are some conversion errors but well i will try to fix them soon
It appears the errors relate to a malformed command - examples:
This means it's likely that the error is related to the conversion of the second argument to an integer. If this is the case, then "/bounty check jack" would throw an error as it's trying to put the bounty "jack" onto the player "check".
Hope this helps!
@Flynnftw
update of 1. thats quite hard to make with color codes and stuff but in the future i might do it
2. i added that
3.i added that too
4.the command is now /bounty check PLAYERNAME
but i could not get the error in the same conditions
maybe if you can copy the console error rather then the log error as it contains more information + in the log it doesnt say its caused by the plugin?
@Flynnftw
I love to see some feedback an i got allot of school stuff going on as its the last month till we breakup school
so it will be hard to get working on this but i will try to fix it!
also i would recommend my lightweight upcomming(waiting for approval) aconomy plugin!
it has some very kewl features like cash(paper) and other things with a great api for devs to use
i think this will be perfect as it supports cash and atm's
Great plug! Lots of fun! I've got it on Medieval Lords and it's a BIG hit!
I've got a couple suggestions, though, that will make your plugin much more popular for bigger production servers.
1. Allow us to disable or edit the message that is presented on player login or logoff while a bounty is struck on them. And/Or all messages associated with the plugin.
2. Allow us to post a minimum bounty requirement. On our production server we have hundreds and hundreds of players that just want to stay out of the limelight while they murder everyone so they post a 1 point bounty on themselves so they aren't really worth the effort it takes to kill them. Since only 1 bounty can be struck per player, it allows them to stay invisible to the plugin originally created to get them in some danger.
3. Allow multiple bounties to be struck on a single player. For the same reason above. As our top pvpers continue to wreck on the large community, allowing multiple players to strike would allow the bounty on any one individual to grow and grow and grow until all the sudden he's got the entire server vying for a spot to lob his or her head off!
4. Fix the issue with unfinished commands. Occasionally a player will mistakenly type "/bounty check PLAYERNAME" instead of "/bountycheck PLAYERNAME" and it crashes anyone who uses it on our server. I'm assuming because its invalid command syntax. Here is the error.

Mind you the server lags to near death and then kicks the player that uses it.
Currently I've disabled the command using MyCommands
Great Job! Keep it up!
@MrAwesomezz
Or you disabled them or there are no players with bountys
Bug free? Then why doesn't the compass point towards the player with the bounty like it says it does?
Thank you but i really don't need Permissions for this plugin, without Permissions it's easier for players.
