VoxieChan
VoxieChan:
VoxieChan allows video playback inside the game by recreating the images from the video with the blocks in game, using the blocks as pixels. This means you can stream a video from the server to the client without them needing a client mod. Create screens throughout your worlds and then tune them in to a channel to display videos on them.

Yayifications the Alpha version is out in the wild :D Grab it Here
Let me know hows its working (or not :( ) out for you.
In Action:
Skip to 0:54 to see the video on the map or 1:40 to see it on a screen of blocks.
Know Issues
- Some videos can cause the JVM to crash when Xuggle trys to play them, so just be cautious ( I eliminated the crashing as much as I could, fairly rare now :) ).
Have Fun
Remember the main purpose of this plugin is for fun, I don't expect it to be run on a serious server because it can be quite intensive. But with that said, the .gif play back has little impact on a server and is ideal for animated signs to add charm to your server ;)
@ArkyChan
That's great! Thanks a lot and yes, I'm interested :D
@harryjamesuk
It should already be able to, it has support for rtmp streams so as long as it is feed the correct url you should be able to stream to it. When I was streaming to it I used my own RTMP server.
Also I probably need to update this to run on the latest version of bukkit >,> (Just wonder if there is interest :/)
Helloooo,
This looks amazing, Would love it if you could like, Link it with Twitch.TV
@levisn1
You can't :/ Well not yet any way, its one of the planed feature for the next version. ( been a bit busy).
The features for the next version are:
Screen rotations.
An undo command.
A precompiled video format. (To ease the stress on the server).
how to rotate a screen? thanks
@Anevarez
Alot, pretty much any format that you want to throw at it. Even rtmp streams, showing that off in the video :).

What movie formats does this plugin support? or is it just mkv?
@Dyspen
Ah yea I forgot about that, I'll add that to the todo list for the next version.
The joys of alpha testing :P
Also if anyone else has issues like this could you make a ticket, should help me keep track of these things easier.
Please, for the love of GOD, make an "undo"-command for building screens. I fucked up and now a 1 block width vertical line has cleaved my newly build city/spawn in half.
I do think I have backup and I should indeed have been more careful, but holy moly.
@darkmage0252
Ah I think the problem is that your using a 64 bit Java, Xuggle only has a 32 bit compiled version so you'll need to install a 32 bit Java and point to that in your start script.
i used that windows installer you put below but im getting errors when i try to play anything it creates a file of the channel i made then puts these errors in it

@ArkyChan
Im trying to install it on windows but it looks simpler to do on Linux so ill try it on my dedicated server.
I'll try with another video tomorrow :)
@dunem666
Thanks :D
@Alexxondre
Hmm that's strange. The video should loop automatically and to play a different thing on the channel just issuing another play command to the channel should work.
good job man, just as good as i expected :)
Great plugin ! Tested on my server and it's working but we have to delete channel and screen in order to play another time/thing on the same channel/screen
@darkmage0252
Hmm are you installing it on Windows or Linux?
Xuggle don't release compiled builds any more it seem and that just makes things tricky :/ But they still have slightly older version on their build server, I'll update the set up guide with them now.
But here there are:
Xuggle Windows
Xuggle Linux 32 bit
Xuggle Linux 64 bit
Xuggle Mac
@NuttyX33
Make sure you have Xuggle installed, (It seems they arn't providing new compiled builds but this version should still work http://build.xuggle.com/job/xuggler_jdk5_stable/100/artifact/workingcopy/dist/bin/xuggle-xuggler.4.0.1023-win32-setup.exe
This should be right for you then
Hopefully that works :)
cant get xuggle to install correctly :/
OMGGGGGGGGGGGGG REALLY?
how does this work
aww im so noob, i read everything kinda but still dunno how to add the path.
im currently using this
how should i put it in?=< really have no idea and i dun want to mess up
