Ever been exploded on by a creeper, because your minecart was just too slow to get away? neither have I! But now we don't have to care about slow losers any more! Slap a Turbo on your cart! And as an added bonus, ride-in minecarts now have an automatic handbrake, which means you don't have to worry about accidentally sending your minecart miles away and being stranded having to walk for 10km maybe more! This mod slows down the cart when approaching corners to prevent de-railing. This mod only changes the ride-in minecart, all other minecarts are unaffected. Turbo power and cornering speed adjustable in the config file. Total speeds of over 5x(or a Maxspeed of over 2) is not recommended as breaks don't react fast enough and you may derail.

I don't see anything else in console logs. default in the config was 2.0, I tried changing it to 8.0 and restarted the server, but still not seeing any effect. this plugin is what I'm looking for, just something simple to speed up carts.

(Since the license is GPL, the jar file you post is technically supposed to contain either the source code or instructions for how to get it, actually...)

Hmm, you shouldn't have to enable it, the default options are set to 5x speed, so you should notice a difference straight away. However the minecart will slow down for corners and hills, so for full speed make sure your track is going straight, and not up or down. otherwise check your error log, and let me know if anything pops up
EDIT: forgot to mention this plugin ONLY affects carts that a player rides in.. That's in the description though.

Posted Mar 9, 2012is there anything I have to do to enable it? I installed it, but doesn't seem to have much of an effect on my minecarts.
I've tried other plugins that have an option of increasing the speed of carts, none of those have worked yet either tho...
