Shields

This plugin allows playerd to hold a configurable item to receive a configurable damage nerf. The item you select will be crafted using:

Iron Ingot _ Iron Ingot _ Iron Ingot
Iron Ingot _ Wooden Planks _ Iron Ingot
Iron Ingot _ Iron Ingot _ Iron Ingot

Config

shieldId: Minecraft item id to be used as a shield divideBy: The integer to divide by when nerfing damage useRecipe: Whether or not to use the crafting recipe described above

Usage

pvp servers - add a powerful twist to minecraft combat
roleplay servers - let your players defend themselves in rp and mechanically
survival servers - add another item that players won't want to leave their homes without

Mech plugins

Grapple - Soar through the skies!
TorchThrow - Press Q to throw a torch, try it!
Sheath - Sheath thy weapon!

also I have something I think you should add to this plug, do you have a github I can post it on as a suggestion? :l otherwise I can message you the code that I think would improve this plugin a lot :D

Do you have any problems with me using this plugin to develop my own private plugin for my server, we want two types of shield, using the block id 64 and 71, a wooden shield and an iron shield basically. You can guess the difference ;D

my guess is no, as you could set the id for a shield to a block, and it wouldn't be possible to have durability with them now would it ;D

No, but they don't block too much damage, just over a sword block.

@Blackhawk185 Copy of your idea? Trolol. a game that has swords, bows and arrows.... adding a shield is somehow your "idea"? Not too mention, an idea and actually executing the idea are two different things and I do believe hoohoo4 beat you in execution as I don't see you having any plugins whatsoever, let alone a shield plugin. Hats off to ya tho, for trying to squeeze out sympathy.
