Commands
All commands are case-insensitive. Only the admin commands are available via the console.
There is only one command, /secretary or just /sec. To do different things you just change the command arguments.
Player commands
/secretary help
This is the most important command! It will tell you how to use all of the other commands.
/secretary help - lists all the available secretary commands
/secretary help [command] - shows the usage for the specified command. Replace [command] with: create, delete, todo, remind, repeat, setsound, name, or admin
The command syntax is:
/secretary help [command]
for example:
/secretary help todo
/secretary create
Create a new secretary. To use it:
Look at the block where you want the secretary to stand, then type the command. By default in SURVIVAL mode, you will need / the cost is: 8 fences, and 3 wood pressure plates. You will need a clear area of at least 6 (3x2) or 9 (3x3) blocks in order to create the 'help desk' properly.
Against a wall or freestanding, your choice. The desk top (pressure plates) will always be placed on the edge closest to the player.
The command syntax is:
/secretary create
The secretary is automatically selected upon creation and ready to receive its first commands!
/secretary delete
To use this command you need to select the secretary you want to delete by right-clicking it with a FEATHER, then typing the command.
Deleting a secretary means you will lose any todos and reminders that have been set! You have been warned.
The command syntax is:
/secretary delete
/secretary todo
Add, list, mark and delete todos.
To use this command you need to select the secretary you want to add todos to by right-clicking it with a FEATHER, then typing the command.
To add a todo, type:
/secretary todo add [the thing you need to do]
To list your todos, type:
/secretary todo list
You can also right-click the secretary with PAPER to see a list of todos.
To mark a todo as DONE, list the todos to get the todo's number, then type:
/secretary todo mark [x]
where [x] is the number you noted from the todo list.
To delete a todo, list the todos to get the todo's number, then type:
/secretary todo delete [x]
where [x] is the number you noted from the todo list.
/secretary remind
Add and list reminders.
To use this command you need to select the secretary you want to add reminders to by right-clicking it with a FEATHER, then typing the command.
To add a reminder, type:
/secretary remind add [the thing you need to do] [minutes until alarm]
eg.
/secretary remind add Get more coal 15
To list your reminders, type:
/secretary remind list
You can also right-click the secretary with INK_SACK to see a list of reminders.
Once the secretary has jogged your memory, the item will be removed from the reminder list.
/secretary repeat
Add and set repeating reminders.
To use this command you need to select the secretary you want to add repeating reminders to by right-clicking it with a FEATHER, then typing the command.
To add a repeating reminder, type:
/secretary remind add [the thing you need to do] [minutes until alarm]
eg.
/secretary remind add Harvest wheat crops 45
To toggle repeating reminders off and on, first list the reminders to get the reminder's number (or right-click with an INK_SACK), then type:
/secretary repeat set [x]
where [x] is the number you noted from the reminder list.
If the reminder is already a repeating one, it will be toggled OFF and will be removed after the next alarm.
/secretary setsound
Set the reminder alarm sound a secretary plays.
To use this command you need to select the secretary you want to change the alarm sound for by right-clicking it with a FEATHER, then typing the command.
To change the reminder alarm sound, type:
/secretary setsound [sound effect]
eg.
/secretary setsound BLAZE_SHOOT

/secretary name
A simple command to see the secretaries name.
To use this command you need to select the secretary you want to see the name of by right-clicking it with a FEATHER, then typing the command.
To view the name (and they're pretty cool names), type:
/secretary name
Admin commands
/secretary admin
Set config variables.
Arguments:
/secretary admin s_limit [x] - set the number of secretaries allowed per player.
/secretary admin t_limit [x] - set the number of todo items allowed per secretary.
/secretary admin r_limit [x] - set the number of reminders allowed per secretary.
/secretary admin use_inv [true|false] - set whether a player must have the required fences and pressure plates in their inventory. SURVIVAL mode only.
/secretary admin damage [x] - set the amount of time (in minutes) secretaries take no damage.
