About

Residence is different from most protection plugins in that it aims for the users to be able to protect their own homes without having to bother the admin to do it. Residence has support for a variety of different protection types including preventing movement through areas, all of which can be configured by the land owner, and limited by the admin.

Addons

  • Dynmap Residence - Dynmap plugin that shows residences on the webmap.
  • ResExtras - Control snow, ice, animals, mobs, and more within a residence.
  • Residence Fly - Controls flying within a residence. Leaving will cause a player to fall.
  • Residence Signs - Easy buying/selling/renting with signs.
  • ResTown - Controls which users can build outside of a residence.
  • ResProtect - Protects animals via flags
  • ResCreative - Grants creative on entering a residence.
  • ResPerm - Adds additional permissions to a player on residence change.
  • SimpleClansResidence - Integrates Residence and SimpleClans

Residence 3 has been scrapped, instead T00thpick1 has spent countless hours cleaning up the 2.x code and adapting a seperate version of Residence that will support mySQL solely, from then on we will continue to update both versions, Although the SQL version will have new features implemented in the future while the flatfile version will merely just be maintained as is.

Stack traces shouldn't be posted in the comments and as such I will not take care of them there.

Proper procedure for errors/bugs:

  1. Check if ticket is filed for that error/bug
  2. If ticket is filed check if you have more relevant information to contribute to that ticket
  3. If relevant ticket is not filed, file a ticket with information about the bug

Proper procedure for suggestions/requests:

  1. Check if ticket is filed for that suggestion/request
  2. If ticket is filed, relax it is either already planned or not going to happen
  3. If relevant ticket is not filed, file a ticket with information about your suggestion

Any posts mentioning a "internal error" without an accompanying ticket will be ignored

    Its very good plugin! but can you add a max residences for groups... like normal player 5, vip 10, vip+ 20

    How can I disable players to take any damage in residences? (Fall,monster attacks,PVP,everything)

    Flag anvil is safe to use? There is no announcement about this. I'm afraid that was a unsafe flag.

    Greetings, my first time posting on the Residence thread. This plugin has been essential on several servers that I have played on, and is a staple on the server I operate.

    Now, we've noticed an issue since day one that we can't seem to fix. Item frames just up and vanish off the walls randomly, even in residence protected areas. CoreProtect does not show any black removal information (likely because they are entities and not blocks?) so I can't see why or how. I've read that somewhere, it has to do with memory, but our server generally runs about 40-60% RAM usage. Even at peak times, the item frames don't disappear, they just do it randomly.

    Is there some way to stop this from happening? It doesn't seem to matter if they are residence protected or not. I would greatly appreciate some insight on how to use Residence to keep them from vanishing.

    Residence is a great plugin.but there's not support traditional chinese excellent If it may translate to traditonal chinese.may I?:)
