Archer

An archer is makes an excellent ranged soldier, giving groups of fighters a great advantage in any fight.

Pros:

  • Can use & craft bows
  • Gain XP quicker.

Cons:

  • Can only wear leather armor
  • Can only use wooden swords!
  • Can't use diamond and iron axes and pickaxes

Alchemist

An alchemist is a great trade to engage in, as potions are a highly sought after commodity. Alchemists make great traders. Pros:

  • Can make potions
  • Double XP drops

Cons:

  • Can only use wooden weapons
  • Can't wear diamond Armor
  • Can't use diamond and iron axes and pickaxes

Blacksmith

Crucial to any group, the blacksmith is a critical part of any army - the part of good gear. Blacksmithing is a respected trade, and blacksmiths also can use advanced mining tools. Pros:

  • Can craft armor
  • Can craft weapons and tools
  • Can use diamond pickaxe

Cons:

  • Can't use Diamond gear
  • Can't craft food
  • Can't use axes

Warrior

Warriors are foot soldiers, through and through. Wielders of the most powerful weapons, warriors make up the backbone of a fighting force. Pros:

  • Can use diamond armor
  • Can use diamond weapons and pickaxe
  • Can use all pickaxes

Cons:

  • Can't craft food
  • Can't use diamond and iron axes

Enchanter

Having an enchanter in a group could make even a few people a formidable force, with enchanted weaponry and Armour being extremely powerful. Pros

  • Can use enchantment table
  • Double XP drops (As of Player Classes 0.10)

Cons

  • Can only use wooden swords and stone swords
  • Can only wear leather armor
  • Can't use diamond and iron axes and pickaxes

Farmer

Typically seen as a undesirable line of work, farmers are the only ones that will keep people fed. If few farmers are in an area, one might starve. Business opportunities are not uncommon for a lowly farmer, who might quickly find his trade very good.

Pros:

  • Can break carrots, potatoes, wheat and sugar cane
  • Can craft food

Cons:

  • Can only use wooden sword and leather armor
  • Can't use bows
  • Can't use diamond and iron axes and pickaxes

NEW Woodsman

Woodsmen know how to swing an axe, not only against trees but against foes too. Woodsmen serve a dual purpose of collecting wood and collecting heads.

Pros:

  • Can use diamond and iron axes
  • Can use all armour

Cons:

  • Can't use bows
  • Can't use diamond and iron pickaxes
