OPProtect
What is OPProtect?
OPProtect is here for server admins / owners that want to add a little extra security to their server. If the user logging in has OP on the server, it will prompt them with a password that is defined in the config file that is generated the first time this plugin is executed. This makes it nearly impossible for anybody that gained illegitimate access to an OP's account to do anything without knowing the password.
Features
- Fully configurable password, defined in the config.yml.
- Gives owners an extra bit of security for their server.
- Protects servers against the recent session stealing exploit.
- Locks your username with your IP, so you don't have to type it in every time.
How to install / use
- Place the jar file in your plugins folder, then edit the config and change the password on the first run, then restart / reload the server, that's it!
Changelog
- 1.2 -
- Added a feature to lock your username with your IP when you first join the server and type in the password. If your IP changes, you have to re-type it. Your link between does get cleared each restart or reload though. This option is also configurable in the config, if you would not like this.
- Updated to 1.3.1 (Fixed the AsyncPlayerChatEvent)
- 1.1 -
- Fixes blocking of all commands when you haven't typed in the password.
- Adds an argument to the main command to change the password from in-game. (/opprotect change <password>)
- 1.0 - Release
For anyone needing this plugin, updated and maintained, I made a very similar one here: https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/ezlock.14330/
please update i really need this for my server
could you perhaps make a command for console opprotect login {player} {opprotect password}
or can u make a command for console like opprotect login <playername> to log that player into opprotect so he may type in his/her pw to there account for there login plugin
hey im having a bit of a problem with opprotect and Xauth can u plz make something like were if opprotect detects Xauth it allows the user to log in via Xauth then make the user login via Opprotect just every time that i restart my server i have to uninstall oprotect,get me and the other ops to log in via Xauth then instal Opprotect and get me and all the ops to login via Opprotect and its a real nusence,can u come up with some sort of priority scrip for it and can u make a part in the config were you can add in ips that it will reconise thanks :)
You should add a permission node.
Question, i want to use this password but I also but another password authenticate plugin, Iplock. However, whenever I use this, I cant /login using the authenticate password nor can i use the /opprotect (pass thing) also because it seems the plugins counter each other. So, is there a way where I can like /login first, then /opprotect?
can you please release the source code of this?
@lbb601
No, not yet, still testing things, but i'll post back here if I find anything.
Any new info on that bug?
@lbb601
Hmm, okay, i'll look into it and report back here if I find anything out about it.
hrm... that node permssion thing doesnt work. Only ops are required to type it in even though i put in a permission that the mods have.
@lbb601
Oh, sorry about that. I forgot to mention that I did include that. Your config should generate a null string on the first startup and you can change that to whatever permission node all your moderators have, meaning, anybody who has that person mission node will be asked to enter the password that is in the config.
"Any chance you could add a permission node ? Thing is , I want my moderators to have to enter a password. But they are not operators."
what happened to this :(
This plugin still work with R5, or you will make an Update ?!
Well never download plugin. If it's not from www.bukkit.org or from me :)
@dragondeatth
I was thinking about adding an option to link IP's to the people that you want, and only show the OP password thing when people login using a different IP.
Maybe you could add something in the config where you could add exceptions for people, because my OP's find this a little irritating to type in everytime :)
@Nickshelton80
Sure, I could do that in the next version.
